I'm currently working but have the option to stay at home with my 4 month old son. I'm kind of on the fence with staying home because as much as I'd love to be home with him I will miss having adult conversation. With me staying home funds will be limited so I'm looking for some mommy groups/playgroups for my son if I were to stay home...just to get us out of the house and to meet new people.
I don't know if you have ever heard of MOPS, but it is a great place to meet several moms all at once. There's schedule playdates and times for just moms. I go to the one at Trinity, but I know there are several in the Omaha area. Just look on their website to see which is closest to you.

There is a new forum at http://www.myomahamommies.com - it is off a national chain (free for members) and withen the first week of it being started we have 2 playdates scheduled. Its a small group that will grow but I love being part of something that just began and finding friendships for both myself and the girls. Feel free to check it out :)
There are MOPS groups at churches you could join. or MOMS club in your area..

I am a SAHM of an 18 month old boy. I found at first I was so board & wanted to go back to work, but now that he is active & into everything, I'm glad I don't miss a day with him.
