My husband and I recently relocated to charlotte. We are trying to have a baby. We have cigna open access plus carelink plan. Is there any recommendations of OBGYNs in the area? Thank you!

My recommendation is Charlotte OBGYN. I moved to Charlotte about a year and half ago and was trying to have a baby at the time. The Dr.'s at Charlotte OB are fantastic! They also have multiple locations around Charlotte that are all wonderful. I typically see three Dr.'s in the practice, Dr. Wicker, Dr. Pixley, and Dr. Berskens. Check them out. They are also the preferred practice at CMC Main...so if you do get pregnant and choose CMC Main to deliver it is nice having a Dr. from Charlotte OB.
I agree with Becky M...Eastover OB-GYN is wonderful! Dr. Nicholson is wonderful...he delivered my son! I couldn't have asked for a better doctor! I also recommend Dr. Fisher, Dr. Kalich, and Dr. Whitten. From their website, looks like there are some new doctors there as well...but I'm sure they are all good! And now they actually have 3 locations...the 2 that Becky M mentioned and a new one in Indian Trail.

Charlotte is a geographically large city-what area of town are you in?
Eastover OBGYN. They delivered my first child and would have delivered my second if I had not had to move to VA a month before I was due. I hated to leave them. Dr Jain (female) was my primary doctor and I would highly recommend her. Dr Nicholson (male) was the dr who delivered my first child. He was wonderful. It's a larger practice (I think there are 10 drs total) but I hadn't run into any doctor I didn't like. They deliver at CMC. They have two locations. One at the Arboreteum and one at CMC Main.
I have delivered three of my children with Arboretum OB/GYN. I perfer an all female practice. Six years ago when I had my first this was the only all female practice around. I see Dr. Paige and I love her. She was a great doctor and my biggest cheerleader in the delivery room. When I had my third on the day after Christmas 07 there were only three Drs in the practice. I liked the idea of being familiar with them so a stranger did not deliver my baby. Towards the end you will see the other 2. I had some blood pressure issue during and after delivery and she was great. She has an office in the Arborutem area and on in Presby Matthews. I delivered all my babies at Presby Matthews and the are the best hospital. I have had freinds delivery at the others and there experince could not compare to the one on one care I recievied.
