Seeking OB/GYN with Ultrasound Tech/device at Their Office

I am fairly new to St. Louis area, and looking for a new OB/GYN. I really would like to see a doctor who has the ultrasound technician and device at her/his office. My previous OB/GYN in Chicago had them at her office and it helped me so much when I needed to get an ultrasound, and I really would like to have that convinience again. I prefer to deliver my second child at Mo.Bapt.(when it happens), and I would like to find a doctor who goes to Mo.Bapt. even though his/her office is not in the Mo.Bapt. hospital.

Thank you in advance for your references.

K. B

I recommend my OB/GYN, Dr. Daniel Baumann. They do ultrasounds at their offices (one office at St. Mary's Hospital, and the other at their Sunset Hills office off Watson Road). I really like him and his staff, and I delivered at Mo Bap and had a great experience. Good luck!

I go to Obstetrical Associates. Their office is located at St. Luke's hospital. They have an ultrasound room and a couple of technicians in the office. I've also had my ob do ultrasounds on days that he wasn't too booked and the technicians weren't available. I love my doctor, Dr. Jeffrey Thompson. There are about five other doctors in the practice. And I hear that St. Luke's is a great hospital to deliver at. I chose Missouri Baptist but if I were going to have more, which I don't plan on, I would just go to the same hospital that my ob's office is located...St. Luke's. Their phone number is ###-###-####.

My two sisters and I all see Dr. Anne Radley, she is with Genesis OBGYN and she has an office at DePaul and at Barnes St. Peters. I could not say enough about how wonderful she is, together my sisters and I have had six pregnancies with her! She works with two other female dr.s and I believe that all of her staff is woman. The have regular ultrasound at their Depaul office and 3-d ultrasound at their St. Peters office.

Hey K.-

I would highly recommend my OB, Dr. Timothy Philpott. He is at MOBAP on the first floor and they have an ultrasound machine/tech in their office. He is with Womens Care Consultants and their number is ###-###-####. He is very thorough and has great bedside manner. He really made my experience with my first pregnancy and birth very enjoyable. I saw that someone else had recommended him as well on this board. One of his other partners is Dr. Gigi Streif (also mentioned in one of your responses) and she is great too. I saw her once and she was on-call before Dr. Philpott got to the hospital during my labor and I really liked, and have heard, great things about her as well. Good luck, it is such an important decision!

I see Dr. Margaret Rempe at the Healthcare Group for Women which is located in Missouri Baptist ###-###-####). She has a practice with 2 other women and they're all great. She'll be delivering my baby there next month, but they also go to 3 or 4 other area hospitals. They don't do the ultrasound in their office, but at the office just down the hall from them. I always schedule them at the same time as my appointment so there's no waiting.

My doctor's office is at MO Bap and she and her associates all deliver there as well as a few other hospitals. They have an ultrasound at their office as well. The practice is called Women's Care Consultants and their number is ###-###-####. My doctor is Dr. Gigi Streiff and the others are Dr. Applebaum and Dr. Philpott. They are all great and so is the office staff, which really helps when you are pregnant. I delivered both of my children at MO Bap. I hope this information helps.

I delivered both of my children at MO Baptist, my doctor was there along with the ultrasound equipment, they are also associated with the UMSL (office is right next door) who can do any other type of consultation and ultrasound (3-D if you like). My doctor name was Dr. David Weinstein and his assistant's name was Kendra. All wonderful people, I had a few minor complications due to my age with the first and would trust them with my life (like I did). He is a little rough around the edges (won't baby you...) but he was up front and honest and wonderful. His office is in Mo Bapt so it came as an entire package, very easy for apts, delivery, etc.. Everyone while you are at the hospital are all friendly and very helpful, some even just come by to keep you company if you want it. I have to say even though I was stuck in the hospital (for both) for about 5 days each, I felt they truly cared about your wellbeing. I wouldn't have gone any where else!!!
I also try to find places to go and meet others, I have an 11 Month old daughter and 3 yr old son. Don't know where you live (I live in OFallon), but driving any where doesn't stop us from finding places to play. Email me back at ____@____.com and I can do some searching for the cards for Mo Bapt if you would like, and I can give you the numbers.

Hi K.,

I see Dr. David Super from Ob/Gyn Health Partners in Sunset Hills (near 270 and Gravois).

They have a lab and an ultrasound tech right there in the same hallway as their office and it is SO convenient! I'm sure he delivers at Mo Bap, as most docs do.

I know several friends who also go to Dr. Super and we just LOVE him! He's extremely professional, thorough and honestly one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet! And all three of the other docs in the practice are fabulous as well!

Their number is ###-###-####.

Good luck!

Hi K.-
I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Timothy Philpott with Women's Care Consultants, located on the 1st floor in Missouri Baptist Hospital. He was recommended to me by a friend long before we got pregnant, and he was phenomenal during our pregnancy & birth! There are ultrasound machines within the office. I should also mention that he is VERY thorough. Ex: The day I found out I was pregnant with an at-home test, I called and they had me come in that day to take a urine & blood test to ease my mind. They also had me come back two days later to take blood again to make sure that my levels were doubling. Although we had a couple of scares (that turned out to be nothing) during the pregnancy, he was very reassuring! Honest...but reassuring! And I was a total nut with all of my questions and worries, and he & his staff answered them all without laughing at me! Ex: Can I eat Imo's pizza? Because I know that you're not supposed to eat soft cheeses when you're pregnant and it's made with provel, etc... Woah! :)

Here is his info: http://wuphysicians.wustl.edu/physician2.asp?PhysNum=2967

A little about me: I'm a proud mom of a 15 month old boy. Getting ready to go from full-time working mom to a 2-day-a-week work schedule, which will mean shopping at Aldi's and 2nd hand stores! :) I CANNOT wait! Only two weeks to go until the schedule change!
