Hi,
My OB suggested I need a certain procedure. I'd like a 2nd opinion. Anyone have a good OB at St. John's? Also, I might need a referral to a General Practitioner/Family Practice/Internist physician (I've only seen my OB for the last 10 years, but my insurance now wants a GP in on this decision). I do like to stick to the St. John's system. Thank you!

Good luck!

Margaret Marcrander is wonderful. She is in the Mercy Obgyn group at St. John's. My ob had retired and I had just been seeing the nurse practioner for my yearly appointments but now I had some new issues that I needed to see a doctor. I called the group trying to figure out what doctor would be a good fit for me back in September. I was surprised to hear that Dr. Marcrander had been with the group several years ago, relocated to California with her family for the past 8 years and had just returned to St. Louis and is taking new patients. She spent so much time going over my issues with both myself and my husband. She took the time to explain everything and how my overall health was being effected and went over all of our options. She listened to our concerns over the various options and covered all the bases to ensure that we checked everything before coming to a conclusion of what was the best course of action. She has 2 offices, one at St. John's and the other in North County on Dunn road. The appointment line is ###-###-####. Good luck!

Dr. DeRosa is wonderful. Dr. Bartlesmeyer and Dr. Moore are specialists and I saw both of them for complications during my pregnancy.

I really like Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, but he is at St. Lukes. He is the best doctor I have ever had. His dad is an OB in the same practice.

Good Luck!

Hello Marylee,

I've been going to Dr. Jay Padratzik for years. He is wonderful, honest, and always takes his time during visits or answering any questions you might have. Never rushes you out the door and is genuinely concerned about his patients. He delivered both of my kids and I trust him completely! I highly recommend him. Their Ballas office phone number (at St. John's) is ###-###-####.

Maylee,

If you are looking for a female doctor versus a male, I would recommend Vijaya Kumari. Her office is at St.John's. I love this woman. She is very proactive to problems, doesn't do the wait and see thing. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Dr. Richard Kuebel and Dr. Craig Boyd are both excellent doctors who have priveleges at St. John's, although they are located outside of it in a nearby building. They share a practice, so if one is busy, you're still in great shape. They cared for my pregnancies and delivered both of my babies.

Midwest Maternal Fetal Medicine located in the Dr's building Tower B at St. John's is wonderful. They have 4 or 5 specialists in their practice and all are great. The only downfall is that they always seem to be running behind schedule but once you are with your Dr you know why. They make sure all questions and concerns are answered and addressed and you feel as though they have all the time in the world for you. I have had two babies with Dr Bartelsmeyer and Dr. Moore. ###-###-####

Marylee,
My doctor is out at St Anthony's, but works through St Johns as well. She is AMAZING. Her name is Cherese Collins and I've advised many women to go to her and all the responses were the same- the best! She's with St Anthony's Women's Health Partners. My s-i-l went to her (Cherese is a far drive for the both of us) and agreed that she is WELL worth the drive. Look her up- you won't be disappointed.

I love...love...love Dr. Marsha McBride. She's so nice, reminds me of Mrs. Claus a bit. I got a referral for her several years ago from the nurses in the office when my doctor retired.
