I would like to find out a bit more about Dr. Janis Fee - OB/GYN . I've had a couple of good opinions about her, however I would like to hear some more opinions. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

I use her and she is very sweet, caring, and concerned. She answers all your questions and most of the staff is very nice as well. The only thing that bothers me is that they are VERY busy. You can't always see Dr. Fee herself because she has sooo many patients. Sometimes I am forced to see the nurse practitioner, which is fine for some issues, but sometimes you just want to talk to Dr. Fee herself. That can be challenging with their scheduling. I also had to by pass them recently to get an order for an emergency mammogram. I felt a lump, called the office panicked, and they couldn't schedule me until the next week! They also wouldn't just fax an order over to radiology (I have ppo so I don't need a referral, but the radiology dept needed an order). I called my primary and they were very sympathetic and faxed the order to radiology without me even having to come into the office. My primary Dr. said "if you feel a lump we believe you no need for you to wait to come in". I was a little disappointed with Dr. Fee's staff, but I guess policy is policy. Bottom line, love Dr. Fee, but don't always like the busy office. I sometimes feel like I am just a number. I hope this helps.

I had Dr. Fee deliver deliver both of my boys. I thought she was a good doctor and had a pleasant bedside manner. One of my sons was an easy delivery, the other was not and had to be rushed to the NICU at CHOC. She did a great job at BOTH deliveries. To be honest though, I didn't really feel like she remembered me when she would see me at my visits. I felt like just another face. However, I was very fond of the office staff and thought every one of the nurse practitioners in her office were excellent and a bit more personable. Hope that helps.

Dr Fee was my OB prior to my first pregnancy and through my first trimester. I did end up changing, though. As a previous person said, "To be honest though, I didn't really feel like she remembered me when she would see me at my visits. I felt like just another face." During an early ultrasound, they detected what might be a major birth defect. Dr. Fee obviously didn't read my chart and came in all bubbly. After I reminded her of our concerns, she remained bubbly and proceeded to joyfully find the baby's heartbeat. Both my husband and I felt like she wasn't very sensitive to our concerns, and she certainly didn't educate us on the possible birth defect. We left very perplexed that day and immediately found another OB. One of my friends goes to her now and thinks she's great. You have to trust your own instincts. We all have different things we need from a doctor. Good luck!

A very good friend of mine sees her. Loves her. She never had her as her OB dr. But she has had surgery and Dr Fee has been very helpful figuring out problems.
