I just finished ivf and insemination and it didn't take any suggestions that might help because financially we can't afford that process again?

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

I ditto Karen. Nutrition is of the utmost importance. Bobby McCaughey delivered 7 healthy babies after her doctor told her to abort 4 to save the other 3. She was on a highly absorbable multivitamin. These kids are now 13 and the only medical problems they have is that one of them wears glasses...

One of my best friends could not concieve for a long time. She was a painter. She exposed herself to horrible solvents and when she started wearing a reverberator, she got pregnant and delivered a healthy baby. Toxins and TOXIC BUILD UP in the body is what keeps it from working properly.

I'd love to talk with you and give you some specific information. Go to my website and see who I am and let me know if you want to talk.

God bless!

I went through a lot to have my little girl (who will be 3 in January). 6 years of treatments, including AI that didn't take, but never invetro b/c I couldn't afford it. The month I finally got pregnant was the month the doctor told me he was turning me loose if it didn't happen b/c there was nothing more he could do. Do you have any health problems that could be contributing? Has your hubby been checked? My husband has a good count, but not good mobility, but I have lots of issues so we had the double whammy and it still happened for us. Hang in there and depending on any issues you may have, I may be able to help. I am overweight and have PCOS so if either of those is in your picture, feel free to contact me.

This is when it hits you how incredibly EVIL the insurance companies are. The same people who refuse to pay for IVF are the same people who DO cover Viagra! Obviously, being able to conceive is far less important than being able to get it up! MEN!

I tried IVF, but because of cysts that kept returning I was not able to get anywhere. Please be open to the possibility of adoption. I now have the most beautiful, amazing 2-yr.-old son you could imagine. I got him at birth and he's absolutely the joy of my life.

Good luck!

I also had fertility problems, which happened after two miscarriages in which I conceived very quickly. We did 5 IUIs and were going to try IVF the next time. God blessed us with twin boys that 5th time. They are now 2 years old and AMAZING little boys.

I took a course offered by my RE's office called Mind Body. It has a lot to do with how stress impacts your body. Taking time to center yourself and let the stress in your body out. It sounds a little hokey, but it really works. Things like getting a meditation CD and a headset REALLY worked for me. I'd put them on every night and would fall asleep to it. Best night's sleep!!

Keep your hope and pray! I know all too well how difficult things are for you right now. Sending along my hugs and prayers. Hang in there. (((HUGS))) S.

Hi K.,
Ihave walked in your shoes and know how diificult it is. I was finally blessed with 2 wonderful boys who are now 11 and 14. So I am thankful for the medical process I went through. However, If was to do it over again I would no doubt follow the path of health. There are so many natural ways to investigate. Dr. Eric a chiropractor in Woodstock is so knowledgeable and economocial. He offers a free consultation. He doesn't specialise in infertility so I don't want you to think he is a miracle dr. He just puts you on a path of finding health that often helps women with their infertility. You may already feel and look pretty healthy but you would be surprised what you can learn from him. He is great with email "Eric J. Richards, Dr." <____@____.com>, or you can call him to make an appointment ###-###-####. Best Wishes,

I went to IVF and i did not do the fertility, i had a laparoscopy done and then i was able to become pregnant. However I have a friend that does it and she had a daughter right after two or three trials.

Good luck, however do this for yourself as well not just for your husband.

I was told as a teen I would be lucky if I ever had children so I do know how it feels, on the other hand I have 11 children now! I would say if you haven't been told you have actual physical problem that nutrition is your best bet. I had gone to a more natural diet before having children and take very good care of myself with high quality vitamins too. I have been eating better than average(always room for improvement though) and taking the supplements for almost 24 years..My oldest is now 22. I think I have a CD or tape on fertility and nutrition if you are interested. Let me know if this is an avenue you would like to persue if I can be of any help to you! I also understand about the it's really alkl about me hubby. You would never know with 11 kids that it were true but...we are still working on that! There is hope though!

Blesings to you!

K.

I had severe endometriosis and PCOS, and my uterus was prolapsed. I had surgery to correct the structural problems and get cleaned up. That got everything into the right place, and I conceived my first son. It was a tough pregnancy, though, and he came 6 weeks early. Healthy now, though! Running me ragged at almost 4 years old.

With my second, I was on Fortamet (for the PCOS) and acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (for everything else). I charted on fertility friend.com and once we saw that I was healthy, we conceived our second son. Starting at 16 wks, I started the hydroxyprogesterone injections, and he was born healthy at 37 weeks. he's almost one now, and climbing on everything!

I will definitely be going to the acupuncturist for a tune-up before I try to conceive again. I recommend "The Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis. Excellent book. She has started training acupuncturists to follow her methods; you might be able to get in touch with her from the book or a website and see if she has trained someone close to you.

As far as cost, I paid about $120 a month for my treatments and herbs, and it took about 7 months to get healthy. That's a very reasonable cost, in my opinion, compared to the cost of other fertility treatments.

God Bless.

I'm sorry it didn't take.

You might try acupuncture. I have two friends who had successful pregnancies after infertility--one had three failed rounds of IVF over ten years and conceived twins three months after she started the acupuncture (no fertility drugs were involved with either), and the other had a baby after a miscarriage and a failed implantation. I know it sounds a bit nutty, but I did acupuncture for severe anxiety after it was the only thing that cured a medically untreatable nerve disease for my father. It DOES work. Maybe it can work for you.

Another idea is to look up information online about the creighton model system. This is the method the Catholic church recommends for spacing children and fertility. It is all natural because the CC doesn't believe in artificial birth control or fertility treatments- i have heard of quite a few women who were having fertility issue who had success with this. They teach a woman how to be in tune wuth her body and also help in other ways that are all natural.
