Seeking Moms' Group in Lower Westchester

Hi-
I'm looking for Mom's Groups and/or play groups in the Larchmont/Mamaroneck area. I live in Larchmont, and even though I grew up here, I would like to get to know other Moms with very young babies (my son is 6 weeks!). I was also wondering about play groups or activities that are appropriate for real little ones. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi: A really good friend of mine Nanci Bryggman has just opened a new Mommy and Me class in Harrison - which is very close to Mamaroneck and Larchmont. If you are interested please send me your telephone or email address and I will have her contact you. My email address is ____@____.com.

Hi Kristen.
I am also looking for a mom's group/play group for myself and my little boy. He is is 8 weeks. We recently moved to Riverdale from the East Village and are having a little trouble meeting new people in the area. Not sure how far Larchmont is from Riverdale but I'd be willing to take the drive if you know of any groups. Am also looking for classes/activities for really little ones. The youngest one I have found is 6 months and I think I may go crazy before then. I no longer think I am good entertainment for my son! He needs some other stimulation. Let me know.

Best,
G.

Check out Parents Place in White Plains. I went there when my son was young (he's now 5), and have gone back often. I met a nice group of mom's when I went, and kept up with them (dinners & such) and still do with some. It is a drop-in parent center, pay as you go. For infants, they (used to) meet on Tuesdays midday, and I think another day too. It is held in a church on Carhart/Mam'k Ave. The woman that runs the program is named Judy. I will look for more info, but they have a listed phone number. Activities for kids up to age 5.

Hi K. -

Just wanted to respond to let you know that I too am desperate to find a mom group in the same general location - I live in the Pelham area. I responded to Monica's posting about her friend's group in Harrison - but if I hear of anything else closer to us (I'm so close to Larchmont....we go there all the time for the great restaurants) I will let you know.

About me....
I'm 30 years old and a transplant to the Westchester area from NYC - my husband and I have only been here a year. My daughter Ella is 4 weeks old.
I'm also interested in finding a yoga group in the area as well.
