Seeking Moms' Group And/or Playgroup in Doylestown Area...

I found a lot of playgroups on a website called meetup.com. If you put in your zip code and what type of group you are interested in it will find them for you. When you find the type of group you are looking for you just need to send an email to the organizer with a little bit of info about yourself and if they have room they will email you a response. I have made many of new friends not associated with my husband and my son has gotten a lot of new playmates. Plus it gets me out of the house as I am also a stay at home mom.

I am also relatively new to the area-- from NJ since August 2007. I joined the local moms' club in Buckingham. Where in Doylestown are you? I have two year old twins and I can certainly relate to being home with a baby. Also, have you thought about joining the Newcomer's Club in the area? You would certainly be considered a newcomer. Hi E.. I just moved to New Jersey from California as well. I'll echo what the other posters have said: We've met people through the meetup website, as well as the local MOMS clubs. Good luck!

Join your local Mom's club. They have all kinds of activities for you to do with your child. Also they provide playgroups so you can have your child interact with just a few kids her own age. You can look up Mom's Club international and it has links for the local ones. I think there are a couple in the Doylestown area depending on your zip code. We have been members of the Langhorne area one since my daughter was about 9 months old and some of both mine and my children's best friends have been made this way.

Meetup.com seems to offer a great resource for finding people with similar interests in your area...however, I haven't really found a group close by with children that are the same age as my son. Im fairly new to the area as well...I live in Abington, just up 611 from Doylestown. Im a stay at home mom as well, first time mother and originally from Northern VA. I have a few friends in the area, however they are not parents so, its not really the same. My son is just shy of 7 months, so I've been looking for other moms who have little ones close to the same age. Hoping to find something to do other than walking the mall to stay connected with the outside world. Hehehe.
