I would start mixing it with other things like juice. Give her a bottle of water and see what she does. Leave it alone and make it warm. Do you mix her cereal with formula or water? Remember to mix the juice with water.

With my kids I just made the formula weaker and weaker until they didn't want it anymore. Eventually I started putting whole milk in bottles and cups and it worked out fine. Good luck! You could also try the next step formula for older children.

I learned along time ago, if children get thirsty they will drink what you give them. I have 5 children of my own and my 2nd child would only drink breast milk. When I took her to the Dr. he asked me what other liquids was I giving her? I replied (none). That was the problem. Infants should start drinking water at about 4 months and then juices as they grow. Are you subing cups in place of her bottle sometimes? That may help.

Who says she has to stop drinking formula? Many brands, like Enfamil, make a "Next Step" formula for babies 9-18 months old. We used that with our daughter until she was ready for whole milk. A word of advice: my daughter HATED milk strait from the fridge. I would warm it in the microwave (I was given the OK to do so by my pediatrician!. I would only warm it up for about 40 seconds-just enough to take the chill off. Be sure to shake it up WELL and test it first. I did 1/2 formula and 1/2 milk that way for a couple of weeks, then went to just milk, and she's been fine since. Best of luck.
