Seeking Mommy & Me Group

Does anybody know of any good Mommy & Me groups in the Monrovia or nearby area? I am a work at home mom with a 2 1/2 month old son. I would like to get him out of the house more. I would also like to socialize with other moms. It gets pretty lonely being at home alone all the time.

What can I do next?

Join www.meetup.com for free. You enter your requests and area and you will receive a list of local groups. I know there are at least three groups in Monrovia. Just to caution you one of the Monrovia groups is not supportive of breastfeeding in public.

I used to live in Monrovia, I now live in Glendora. We go to Grace Church off Glendora Ave. They have a Mommy and Me that is great. I volunteer on Fridays to watch the younger kids while they do the Mommy and Me. Give it a try if you like. You don't have to come to the church to come to Mommy and Me.

Go site for the city of Monrovia and click on recreation. They offer Mommy and me classes real cheap.

Hi!
The Monrovia Community Center offers a Parent & Tot class for babies on Tuesday mornings at 9:30. Great way to meet other moms/get out of the house/learn all the verses to Wheels on the Bus/etc...
Give them a call at ###-###-####. The next session starts in January.
Good luck!

Hi A.,

If you're willing to drive, Glendale Community College has a wonderful Mommy & Me program! But for that matter, there might be a city college near you that offers one as well. You can also try matchingmoms.org or the local chapter of the MOMS Club for a support group. I hope some of these suggestions lead you in the right direction and you find the support and interaction you need. Good luck!

There's a MOMS Club of Monrovia. www.momsclubofmonrovia.com (I looked it up for you). I'm thinking of joining the MOMS Club in Pasadena although my son is a only 8 wks old. The MOMS Clubs are part of the MOMS Club International.
