I am a newly wed and my hubby just left on the US Eisenhower ...i was wondering if anyone knew of any support groups for Military wifes ???
Congratulations on your marriage. There are many areas to get support. You need to be strong and know where to turn to for help while he is gone.

Well, every ship has a support group. Your husband should have given you the name and number of your ombudsman. I know when my hubby left we had a group (USS NASSAU). If he didn't give you the name and number, ask him to email it to you. The ombudsman is the go between for the ships and the families.

Come check out www.peninsulamommies.com We are a mommies support group on the Peninsula and are really expanding on the Southside. And ALOT of the mommies are military mommies. I am a moderator in the group and have been a member for over a year. We get together for playdates, outings, mom's night out, and more. Feel free to use my name.

Congrats on your new marriage. Like everyone has already said there should be support group through the ship. Contact the Ombudsman. She will have that info and any other info.
I am the owner of a group through yahoogroups.com. We have playdates 2 x's a week. And will have other things going on as well. Please don't feel alone, come join us.

You won't regret it. We are a great group of ladies with children, we have all been there done that.
My hubby has been in for 15yrs. We have been through many cruises, little dets, etc.
