Can anyone recommend a Mother's Day Out Program for my 3 1/2 yr. old? So far, everywhere I go, I am told they are on a waiting list. From what I hear, now a days you basically have to sign up your child for MDO when you are still pregnant! Crazy!! What about people that move?
Anyway, if anyone knows of a MDO program with availability, please let me know. I live in McKinney but Frisco and Allen would work also.
Thank you in advance!

What can I do next?

My daughter goes to the MDO at Russell Creek YMCA and loves it. She has been there since Jan. They are right on the border of Allen, Frisco and Plano. Their website is www.russellcreekymca.org

A., Try checking out Childtime on Hedgcoxe. They are between Plano and Frisco. They have two preschool classes and both teachers are degreed. Great school and program. They do part time and full time. They give some free days, so call and see if you could have a free day to try out the school. Best of luck!

I second the recommendation for Our Savior Lutheran School in McKinney off of Virginia. They divide up the 3 yr olds into young, middle & older 3's so they are kept w/ kids at their own level. My daughter is in the young 3's (which has 10 kids and 2 teachers) and loves going to "school". She's actually sad on the 2 days a week that she doesn't go. Good luck on your search.

I know that Eagles Wings Athletic Club in Allen was starting a MDO program. I was going to check into it myself. Also I know the SS Noah had started a MDO program.

Hello, there are 3 churches on Greenville in Allen tx that are very close to one another and close to 75. The one I took my daughter to was Presbyterian Church, I believe they had 2 or 3 day programs that were good and she loved going. The had special things while she was there as well such as western day, where someone brought a pony and they dressed up and took pics and took a trip to heard museum and had water day which she esp loved. It seemed she actually learned more there than she does now in kindergarten. It was pretty reasonable , the best price I found, 2yrs ago it was only $110 a month which was at least 40plus cheaper than anywhere I found. Also there was a church down the rd kind of beside the shopping strip with pizza hut and the gas station going towards plano on the other side of Bethany that did not have an opening but had one coming up and they were very nice and not so high either. The ASI also does a program as well. Hope this helps. Take care.

Our Savior Lutheran in McKinney has openings. My 4 year old (just turned last week) and my 2 1/2 year old both go MWF 9-2. Our recent newsletter said they had openings still - possibly all days, but I don't know for sure. They're located on Virginia, west of 75 and just before Jordan.

My oldest went there last year, and we love it. Hope this helps! Good luck. I think they also have extended care if you need it.

Have you tried the North Texas Christian Academy? It is on Wilmeth and Hwy 75 at the High Pointe Church of Christ. I know they had openings for 3 & 4 year olds a couple of weeks ago.

This is my son's 1st year at this school, but I am EXTREMELY impressed with them. I had him in another well known McKinney MDO program last year that has a great reputation, but I'm much happier with this school.

Their number is ###-###-####.
