Any ideas on the best diapers for boys? Recently started peeing through my current brand as well as huggies for newborns.

What can I do next?

I agree. Both my boys used Pampers from Swaddlers to Cruisers. My 9 month old is still in them. Definately move up a size. Pampers sizes overlap just for this reason. :)

Hi S.,

I have a 10 month old son I found that the best diapers for him were Pamper cruisers. I did not have good luck with the huggies.

Hope this helps!!!

pampers are great. also make sure your baby hasnt' grown enough to be in stage one. don't go by weight, go by comfort.. makes a huge difference.

You may not want to hear this one, but I'd recommend cloth diapers. My 2 boys always peed out the sides of disposables if they were in certain positions (like car seat or baby carrier), but cloth diapers absorb instead of repel liquid from spray trajectory. Plus, even diaper service (which is as easy as disposables) is cheaper (and much better for the environment) than disposables. Good luck!

Pampers Swaddlers & Cruisers for boys..Huggies for girls. I have no idea why but I have tried both (I have a 3 year old boy & 5 1/2 month old daughter.)He always wet through the Huggies & she always wet through the Pampers. Also...don't forget to point him down :) I learned that the hard way...

I used Pampers Swaddlers and now Cruisers. I've never had any problems with leaking. I recommend moving to the next size and see if that helps the situation.

I used pampers with our son when he was a newborn and we still do. He was allergic to huggies so we switch to pampers and have never had a problem. Have you tryed pampers?

My son is now 3 1/2 and now potty trained, yippee!!! But we absolutely loved the Kirkland brand from Costco. They feel and look like huggies and we were very happy with them. You get a great big box at a great price.
I run my own home daycare so I have a lot of experience with lots of diapers, and out of them all, the Kirkland Brand from Costco is still my favorite and the brand I recommend to my parents.
Give them a try, you might just be successful with them!

Huggies work the best on my son and the huggie night time ones for of corse the night time. My girl's used pampers but my son would pee right thru them so we went thru quite a few different brands and huggies WON!!! You can get a big box a Costco for under 40.00!

Pampers worked best for my son when he was under 1. After that he started to leak through. I now use Luvs and they are the best, however not every store sells them!!!

Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers for this family. Make sure you pay attention to size because as all women know, it does matter :) No really, I found that if I got within one pound of the weight limit, the diapers leaked, no matter what brand.

Make sure he is not too big for his britches <grin>.

No really Newborn may be too small for him. I have girls, but I used Huggies supreme for a while because of the leaks that started with Huggies. Then I started getting leaks all the time at night so I switched to COSTCO brand. I almost never had a leak once I switched full time to COSTCO. I know they do not make newborn and may not even have ones either...so this may be no help at all...Hope someone gives you some one that works!

I'm with these other ladies - Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers are the best. We had some major diaper blowouts with Luvs and Huggies and various other store brands. So for the remainder of our diaper careers, we went with Pampers. Go up a size if you are close to the weight limit. Happy diapering.

Pampers always seemed to be the best for me. I wasn't crazy about luvs and tried the Safeway brand but hated them. I really only used the Pampers for the first few months and then I went between Huggies and Pampers depending on which was on sale when we needed more.

Hi S.!

My son was the same way, he leaked through EVERYTHING. We were at winco foods and i bought a bag of their brand diapers to try. Let me tell you they were awesome, he never leaked through them, and they also have training pants! They are also cheaper than all the other diapers! I hope this helps

My son is now 3, and I have a 5-month old daughter. And the absolute best brand of diapers that we loved for both of them and had the least trouble with - because we've tried them all - was LUVS. They have a very fresh powdery smell, too, and you can get them in a big box. We buy them at Target. Let us know which one you find to be the best :). Good luck!!
