I am interested in the Lap Band procedure of loosing wieht and I was wondering if anyone out there has had the surgery. What was it like? Are you happy you did it? Any regrets? Was it an easy process to go through for the insurance company? I am just curious about it and dont know anyonepersonally that has has it done. Any insight would be great. thank you.

My cousin just had that procedure done about 6 months ago and has lost a lot of weight it is hard to even recognize her. She looks great though and feels great. I think she recovered fairly quikly as well. I am sure she could give you more insight on the whole thing. If you would like I can see if I can get her e-mail for you. Just let me know.
Also I have a great product called figure 8 weight loss. It is very good and you might want to give it a try. Also if you do get the surgery you will need protein shakes afterwards. So just let me know I would be glad to help you out in any way possible.

I was wondering if you've tried other ways to lose weight. I'd never heard of Lap Band before and just did a little research. Granted there are fewer risks and side effects, it's still surgery. I'm sorry I don't have any info to offer. I just thought I'd ask. Good luck.

Hi K.! I am not very familiar with the procedure you are referring to. But, I wanted to recommend to you the Arbonne Figure 8 Weight Loss program as a method to healthfully and naturally lose weight. It includes fiber and protein shakes, detox tea, weight loss chews which act as natural appetite suppressants and energy enhancers, and dietary supplements that also suppress your appetite.
You can try it, and if for some reason you feel it isn't for you, Arbonne has a 45-day money back guarantee! Arbonne also has a website designated just for those trying to lose weight with this system. It's great because it allows you to communicate with others using the system. You can also get recipe ideas and success tips on the site. It's all available to you with the purchase of the system.
If you're interested or would like to try some samples before you buy, please feel free to contact me at: ____@____.com or ###-###-####. Or you can visit my website at: www.mandyolsen.myarbonne.com. Good luck finding something that works for you!

Hi, My mom just had the lap band surgery done in Vegas. So far she hasn't lost much, but its only been since Christmas. I just wanted to send you a warning to read the small print. My parents thought the surgery only cost $15,000 but after all was said and done they received a hospital bill, seprate from the 15g they paid up front for another $27,000. They have to take a second on the house, and my father will not be able to retire early like he hoped. Please take care and ask for financial assistance.

I have not had it done, but I did do quite a bit of research on it for personal reasons (and decided the best decision for me was to forgo it.) www.obesityhelp.com is a good site to do research on.

the Lap Band is not a cure all. you lose weight because you are forced to eat less. cravings do not go away, but they do lessen because if you try to eat sugary foods, you get sick, which is a rather good deterrent. It does work, but if you look at the weight loss stats, it works about as well as a normal diet would - i.e. the standard 1-3 lbs a week. You can achieve that with reasonable diet & exercise too. but for a lot of people, it is what works, and is a good choice for them.

I would try journaling your food first & see what you're eating, when, and why. www.fitday.com is free & works wonders. www.sparkpeople.com is also good.

good luck!
