Seeking Infant/Child CPR Classes in NW Baltimore City Area

Greetings,

The more my baby is becoming active, eating solids, etc. the more I think about the need for knowing some basic life-saving. I would like my son's father and my mother to also take the class. If anybody recommends a class that would be beautiful. Also, how many hours does it usually take?

You can also try Sinai Hospital- they have infant CPR classes monthly.

look on the websites of your local hospital. We took a class at GBMC a few years ago. It was only about 2-3 hours. You had the option of taking the test if you wanted certification or not taking it. I think the class only did infants and children, so if you need to learn about adults, you would need a longer or different class. I also took one at Howard County General Hospital several yrs ago and I know St Joseph's offers classes.

That's a wonderful idea! I did the same when I was still pregnant for the same reason (and made my boyfriend come, too). We took a class through the American Red Cross, and did the combination child cpr/first aid class. It takes 8 hours and costs 55 dollars. Here's a link:

Well, I have never taken these classes, even though I should. However I did do some searching for you online. Here are some below:

Infant CPR
Fridays, 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
$65 per couple; $35 for single

Infant and Child CPR Heartsaver Certification
Select Fridays, 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Select Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
$80 per couple; $45 for single
