I'm seeking an in-home pet sitter to come to my house several times a day while we are on vacation this summer. I usually board my dogs at the vet, but we have a new puppy (six months old) and I think she'd do better staying in her familiar environment. We also have a 10-year old lab-mix. They are great together.
Does anyone have a tried and true pet sitter that is responsible, reliable and trustworthy? I'm in the Arlington/Mansfield area.

I usually use a relative or neighbor to do mine. Depending on the frequency of the visit, you may look for a college student (semester is out and they are looking for work) as jobs are hard to come by they are looking for work and will house sit for pretty inexpensive.

My husband is very picky about letting people stay in our home and we have had NO PROBLEM. In fact, she came highly recommended by our vet as a great person and trust worthy. We have used her for 3 weeks straight in the winter and several other times. She lives in Arlington. She will either come in and check on your dog or stay at your house.

My sitters are FANTASTIC!! I just love them. And the dogs do, too! Mike and Eddie run the business Pet's Best Friend. They normally come 3 time/day, but will come more if you require it. Their services included: the normal feeding, walking, playing with the dogs, turning on a radio for my dogs so they weren't so lonely, turning lights on/off, bringing in mail, taking care of garbage day (taking your bins to the street if you are out on garbage pick-up day), and generally watching out for your home. And they were incredibly affordable. Much less than boarding at the vet since I have 2 dogs.

If you don't live too far from my sister in law she might be up for the task. She cares for my pets when we are gone and is excellent. She lives in S. Grand Prairie and loves animals.
