I made up some really cute goodie bags for her class too...white lunch sacks w/google eyes and squiggley mouth and white tissue paper. Then I printed white labels that say "Free Ghost to a Good Home". They turned out really cute.
I also found some cupcake tins in the shape of ghosts(walmart or target), I will put white icing and black eyes/mouth on them. They should be really easy.
Just keep it simple. The time goes really quick at the holiday parties. Clear drinks are always best. Simple games that move quick and have easy directions are best with this age group. Some crafts may take too much time, so there might be some prep work you could do in advance that would speed the process! If you have any glue projects I have found that sticky dots work better with this age. They are sold at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

I am not a homeroom mom (yet), but I do have a Halloween party for my kids every year. (My daughter is almost 3 and my son is 8 months). We have a range of ages present, so I try to come up with things they will all enjoy. I have included a link to a site that has an adorable little song called "Five Little Pumpkins." This is a great age to play "Pass the Pumpkin." Just have the kids sit in a circle and pass a small pumpkin around while you play music. The child holding the pumpkin when the music stops gets a small prize and leaves the circle. Just make sure to go around enough times that all the kids get prizes. You can also do a fun bean bag toss using a plastic witch cauldron. And not all games need to have prizes. As far as snacks go, it is super cute to melt chocolate and dip pretzel rods into it, leaving enough free of chocolate for little hands to hold. While the chocolate is still wet dip them in fun Halloween sprinkles. They are magic wands! Kids love them and they are a little healthier, too. Of course you can't beat iced cupcakes with a simple plastic spider ring stuck on top for decoration. For a practically free craft project you can print free Halloween coloring pages online and pass them out for the kids to decorate. I have included a link for free coloring pages as well. When I was teaching, I didn't get a lot of help with classroom parties. So I we made art activites from www.orientaltrading.com . They were prepackaged art activities which helped a lot. Also, you could make a spider with pretzel sticks (legs), crackers (body), raisins (eyes).I've used frosting, pudding, or peanut butter (although be careful with peanut allergies) to get it to stick together.

They have to be simple, especially in Kdg. One game that my kids always liked is bringing toilet paper and wrapping each other in it to make a mummy, make 2 teams and see who can wrap everyone the fastest. Halloween bingo, not sure if that would be too old for them or not, but that would be a good one also. Or make a pumpkin out of cardboard, or a couple deoending on how many kids there are, and make some bean bags to throw thru the mouth of the pumpkin.

As for the snacks make it simple as well!!

A craft idea... black Const. paper, take a small brown paper bag with newspaper inside and dip it is orange paint and place on the black paper to make a pumpkin and use green paint to paint a stem with your thumb.

I am helping with my son's kindergarten party next week. We are having stations that the kids will rotate through. They will begin by listening to a story while they decorate their treat bags. Then they will rotate through: finding plastic spiders in cooked spaghetti in the sensory table, a spoon race with candy pumpkins in the spoons, a dice game where they throw two dice and have to get a certain number, a bean bag toss at a pumpkin painted on a box, making ghost suckers (placing coffee filters over suckers, tying a bow and making a face), decorating their ghosts (their white footprint upside down on a black piece of paper). We will have a prize for each game or activity. I also saw a cute game of bingo where you replace bingo with ghost and make each card, or else the party warehouse stores sell them I've heard. At the end we will have the kids wrap the teacher up with toilet paper as a mummy. I am sending treat bags for my son's friends with plastic vampire teeth, stickers and suckers. 2 ideas that were always a hit in kindergarten -
Take jumbo marshmallows and string a piece of yarn through them with a large plastic needle. You'll have one marshmallow at the end of each piece of string. Make the strings about 2-3 feet, and tie them on a broomstick. Have 2 volunteers hold the broomstick and the kids try to eat the marshmallows without using their hands.

Another is get a couple of dads to volunteer, and have the kids wrap them with toilet paper, like a mummy. This is usually really funny, and everyone has a great time with it.

hi D.! sounds like fun! is this a holiday class party? i just bought some foamie kits that were halloween themed for my son's preschool class that would be fun. michael's has a great selection. the one in particular was about $4 and had halloween themed foamies and supplies for the kids to make their own fun halloween foamie necklace. the kit makes about 15 necklaces. hope you have fun!
