My grandson's babysitter spilled tylenol(red) on the front of his pale blue onsie.
She sprayed Shout on it right away, but my daughter can not get it out. Does any one have any ideas?

What can I do next?

Try a little vinegar on the spot. Vinegar will clean just about anything! Good luck :)

2 ideas... Dreft makes a stain remover in a sray bottle that has worked 99% of the time for me.

The other is Shout Advance. In a clumsy moment I spilled marinara sauce on my white top that didn't come out with regular Shout, so I sprayed the Shout Advance on it, let it sit for 5 days and the stain was gone WITHOUT even washing it!

Good luck!

It is a long shot but try using stain stick.

No new advice on the stain, but recommend dye-free tylenol and motrin, therefore no stains. Work just as well without worrying about the mess.

There's another product that's called "Awesome" that you can get in most of your dollar stores or a store like it. It's mainly for cleaning, but I've also found that it works well on stains that just don't want to come out on just about any fabric. It washes out very nicely and won't leave any kind of order or residue behind.

Fill a bowl or the sink with really warm water and toss in a scoop of oxy-clean. Soak for several hours and it should come out in the next wash.

I like to use Dreft spray. It seems to get almost everthing out. I have even used it on carpet.

My theory is that if OxyClean can't get it out, it is a permanent stain.

Try oxi-clean...and maybe a degreaser if that doesn't work.

What I have done for our most difficult baby stains is put baby shampoo on it and rub it in. If I think it's way deep in the fibers, I use an old toothbrush to rub it in more.

This has worked on poop, carrot, tylenol, and blood (nail clipping oopsy :( ) stains.

If that doesn't work the first try, soak it in the washer for an hour or so, then run the wash cycle. I have even gotten out stains that have been through the dryer.

Oxyclean? Might be worth a try. Oxyclean seems to be pretty strong stuff so wash and rinse well after using it on baby clothes. Hairspray takes out ink, don't know if it would work on the red dye that it is in the Tylenol.

Sew a really cool little patch over it. Like a fire engine, puppy or kitten. That way it will be a customized onsie.

Enjoy,

Totally Toddler stain remover. I haven't used it on tylenol specifically, but it has worked on everything I have tried it on.
