Hi J.. When I first moved to Noblesville 14 years ago, I too was looking for a good female OB/GYN because I'd had some bad experiences with male GYNs. When I couldn't find one, I started going to Dennis Pippenger at someonelse's recommendation.

I've now been with him ever since. He is great! He's delivered one of my daughters. He also helped me through a very difficult time when I had a miscarriage, and when I had problems with having a heavy period. He listens well, is up to date on all the latest technology, and his staff is very friendly. He is not arrogant like some male doctors are, but is competent like some aren't.

His office is in Riverview Hospital. You migh consider trying him out.

I have a great male OB/GYN - James Brillhart. He is very caring, and actually listens to his patients!

If you absolutely have to have a female dr., then I'd go with Ann Hale. She was "on call" for him when he went out of town when I delivered my first, and she was very good.

You might also consider David McLaughlin. His nurse pratcitioner, Christy, is incredible too.

Well, it really depends what you are looking for...
Will you have more kids? Are you really mainstream when it comes to pregnancy (inductions, repeat sections, etc...) or are you more natural? Do you believe that the doctor knows all or that they need to follow your lead since you know your body? Are you open to midwives who are better trained but have no medical degree?
I like Via OB/GYN (www.viaobgyn.com) for natural-friendly, mainstream docs but if you want someone who advocates for natural birth or someone who will induce the minute you get too uncomfortable at 37 weeks, it's not the place for you.
PM me if you want someone more natural or want a good midwife. I understand not wanting a male doc. I wouldn't take my car to a mechanic who'd never driven a car and I won't take my body to a man who's never had a period and can't give birth. There's something about having been through it that makes it totally different.

Hi J.,
Me and all my girlfriends LOVE Dr. Klus at Clarian North. She's young, kind, and very understanding. Her office is at Clarian North hospital, and she also delivers there which is awesome becasue Clarian is one of the nicest hospitals. She is in a a practice with two other Dr.'s who are just as great. Dr. Leigh Meltzer delivered one of my girls, and I loved her too. Good luck with your search! I know how important it is for a woman to like her OB/GYN.

Welcome to Noblesville!

When I moved to Noblesville 5 years ago, I had a HORRIBLE experience with one of the male GYN’s in town. I will not mention his name, but I left his office in tears. I then found Dr. Kristin M. Adams, with Castleton OBGYN. They have offices in Fishers behind Texas Roadhouse and in Castleton at Community North Hospital. She has privileges at Community North Hospital, which has a brand new maturity department (If you and your husband plan on having more children). Dr. Adams is the MOST caring doctor I have ever seen. She is very honest, tactful, and thorough and has an excellent bedside manner. The staff at Castleton OBGYN is excellent as well! I would recommend her to ANYONE!

If you would like to contact me directly with any questions about Dr. Adams or the staff at Castleton OBGYN, please feel free to do so!

Again, welcome to Noblesville and I hope you enjoy our “Little Town” as much as my family does!

Good Luck,
M.
