I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good female General Practitioner for myself, possibly in the East Valley area.

What can I do next?

Hi R.,
I have been going to a great doctor here in Mesa (East Valley) for about 4 years now that I would highly recommend. Here is her information: Suzanne Bentz, DO - Red Mountain Family Medicine ###-###-#### 1635 N Greenfield Rd, Mesa, AZ 85205. I believe you can do an initial session or interview to determine if you want to switch - I have done this in the past and found it very helpful.
Hope this helps! :)

In the past I saw a female PCP in the East Valley who was very satisfactory--her name is Laurel Retay. She is a D.O. (osteopathic medicine) meaning she airs on the side of eastern approach, some call it "wholistic" or "preventative" medicine--treating you as a whole. She is conservative--NOT quick to prescribe pills or recommend drastic things(that's the only thing I didn't like becuase I prefer a Dr. with both conservative & experimental influence). I think she is on Brown and 64th East. Good luck! I CAN recommend her on a good enough experience , although her staff was a little short-handed and slow when I was going there 2 years ago. Maybe that's improved now. They did always return my phone calls. Some advice--never be afraid to call around and ask the office personnel of the Dr.s you are considering, why they would reccommend the Dr. they work for. Even though it catches people off gaurd, it's a very legitimate question for a prospective patient to ask. Ask them to explain what makes their office a preferred place for you to chose for you and your family. It also gives you an impression of the staff that will be greeting you, handling your phone calls, appointments, and insurance/financial!!!!
