I know a DDS that fits your bill perfectly ... they will bill ANY insurance...he's great w the kids & also an all around nice guy...not out to recommend unnecessary treatment like some. I've been going to him since I was 20 and my 16 year old has been going there since she was a toddler.

We just saw a dentist at Beacon Hill Dental in Elgin for the first time last week. They did an exam on my daughter, 6 yrs old, who is TERRIFIED of the dentist. She did not flinch with them- they explain everything well ahead of time and show the children the instruments, let them touch them, etc.
Also, the dentist was not in scrubs, but in black pants and a Hawaiian print shirt, which I think made her more comfortable than seeing "doctor attire."
They also used grape scented bibs and gloves!

The front desk women were NOT the most friendly, but they were courteous enough to do their job well. However, the nurses, hygenist, and dentists (one that checked her and another in the hall) were all very friendly and asked how I was doing, let me come back into the room with her, etc.

I am planning to transfer my records and begin seeing them myself.

We have been very happy with Dr. Pointer at Fox Valley Dental Care, 860 Summit Street, Suite 153 in Elgin. ###-###-####. My kids are in their late teens now, and I'm trying to remember how young they were when we started going there, probably 3 and 6.
