I also used Women to Women and loved them. Dr. Williams was my primary and but I saw every doctor and they were all professional while also extremely kind and warm. It is a beautiful office and attached to the hospital - which is always a plus. They're also accommodating for doulas and birth plans. Best wishes!

Dr. Amy Porter or anyone in her practice. She delivers at the Virginia Hospital Center. She's great! Had been my gyno for several years before I got pregnant.

Dr. Jean-Gilles Tchabo. His practice is in the medical building at VHC. He has been my ob through two pregnancies. I highly recommend him.

I go to Arlington Women's Center, who has offices at VA Hospital Center and delivers there. All the OB-GYNs there are wonderful, very caring and patient. They really care about their patients and it shows! Their names are Dr. Rossi (who's listed as one of Washington's top Dr's and who performed an excellent emergency c-section on a friend of mine), Dr. Crowther, Dr. Masel and Karen King (midwife). Dr. Masel did my (unexpected) c-section last August and did a great job, I had no complications and healed quickly.

I would advise to STAY AWAY FROM HEALTHCARE FOR WOMEN. The office manager, Ms Rosand is the worst person I have every encounter in my
entire life. She is rude, unprofessional and her staff take their leads from her, so that would be who I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Sorry I now live in MD and found a more suitable gyn for me. Good Luck. P.

I love Women to Women (Dr. Caske, Dr. William, Dr. Cobbs, and Dr. Holmes). Their office is right at Virginia Hospital Center. They dilivered my first baby there and now I'm pregnant with my second. Thier office staff is fabulous (which is sometimes key) and I have been so happy with the care they have given me.

Hello - I delivered my first baby and will be delivering my second baby in June at VA Hospital Center in Arlington and I LOVE my ob/gyn. Her name is Dr. Carrie Lawson and she is a member of the practice of Armstrong, Alagia, Bannon, Lawson & Solomon. When I was first referred to the practice I met with Dr. Bannon and was very impressed with her as well. During my last pregnancy I met with each of the Dr's of the practice for at least one appointment and received exceptional attention and treatment from them all. We moved to Leesburg, VA this past January and even though I am now roughly an hour from the hospital I refuse to change my ob/gyn. I also had a great experience delivering at VA Hospital Center. You can find their website at www.womenshealthcorp.com.

Dr Tschabo. He is the most experienced. I'd also suggest looking @ Birth Care Birthing Center in Alexandria. Much more women friendly birth experience attended by midwives.
Hope this helps.

Pat Alagia (real name is Damian) is awesome. Delivered both my kids and the kids of many of my friends. I tend to prefer female doctors but he is the best! Delivers at the hospital you indicate. Good luck.

A third recommendation for Dr. Jean-Gilles Tchabo. He's incredible, very experienced and really trusts a woman's body. He delivered my twins and I was able to have a vaginal delivery, un-medicated and with a breech baby A. That is almost unheard of, given the litigious nature of obstetrics these days. There is no one else in the area with the skillset, knowledge, and confidence in a woman's ability to give birth that he has. I cannot speak highly enough of him.
Of course, he is a skilled surgeon should you end up needing a cesarean, and he is absolutely respectful of a woman's right to make educated choices about how she wants to deliver, what pain medications she wants, etc. Just an all-around very respectful, educated and skilled doctor which, sadly, is unusual in the field.
