Seeking Excellent OB in Lakeway, TX area-Help Please!

The OBgyn that is going to be coming to Lakeway full time once the hospital opens is Hill Country OBgyn www.hillcountryobgyn.com
they have two offices, one adjacent to Seton Southwest Hospital just down the road in Oak Hill and another on Brodie Lane in Austin. I have heard that they are fantastic!

They are actually going to have a limited scope of services available in a few weeks in the offices located at 620 and Lakeway Blvd, so you might be able to make an appointment with them at that location depending upon your needs. Their permanent office in the hospitals executive building will be operational in about 18 months or so according to the construction schedule of the hospital campus.

(My husband is very involved with the new hospital which is why I have this info)

I live in Lakeway and I'm expecting... however I have to drive to Round Rock for my OB. I know there are some at the Bee Cave Medical Center that I've heard OK things about- bu if your pregnant- I don't think they deliver there- you'd still have to drive into Austin for that.

As a doula at http://www.getbabied.com I like to refer folks to Women-friendly OB's. Hill Country OBGYN is in SW Austin and pretty good access from Lakeway. We have more referrals on our site of OB's we like to work with, and OB's our network of mamas and doulas have recommended.

You will most likely need to drive into Austin to see your OB. Lakeway really doesn't have any OBs because there isn't a hospital there, YET. There are many great ones in South Austin. I have had three children delivered by Dr. Martha Schmitz. She delivers out of South Austin Hospital and North Austin Hospital. South is what you want. Search the Mamapedia website. We have recently had this discussion.
