I have looked all over for a good diet meal plan (& grocery list to go with it) for me and my fiance. We need and want to loose weight together, but I can't find a good site for d diet plan with a grocery list for 2 people. I have tons for 1 person but it's either a meal plan for 1 day and says u should eat that every day or it just gives me 7 days worth of meals and no grocery list for it. Going thru item by item would be a little nerve wracking, especially for me right now, I have a lot on my plate and I need a little bit of help. Can anyone help me? PLease!! ---{---{@

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone for your replies. I did check out most the sites you recommended. I will keep working at it and as for the ones you have to pay for, I didn't bother with those, money is tight. If anyone has any other helpful advice, awesome but don't dwell on this topic for a long time. Thanks again everyone!

Hi C.,

Try eDiets or Weight Watchers. On the WW online tool, you do get a weekly menu plan, if you want. Also, all of their recipies are usually to feed 4.

I did eDiets before I got pregnant and lost about 30 pounds. If I remember correctly, theirs was also more than one serving, or easy to double.

Good luck!

www.savingdinner.com you can buy a weekly menu mailer that has 6 recipes ( different every week) and the included grocery list for each week, e-mailed to you, they have a variety of different menus, including low-carb, heart healthy, and "body clutter" which is a weight loss focused one! I love it - I ordered a 1 year worth of menus, and saved them all to CD rom ( they are PDF files) and I now have a complete years worth of "diet" recipes and lists, and it plans your week's dinner cooking for you, so you don't just "grab whatever"!

My husband and I went on a diet and lost about 30-40 lbs each. It was great! We used a book called "The Formula" by Gene and Joyce Daoust" I think it has a grocery list in it but it has tons of planned out meals and you can make a list form there. It also has lists so if there is one item as part of a meal you don't like, you can figure out a good substitute. I highly recommend it!

Try www.thedinnerspin.com

It's a free site with weekly (healthy) recipes and you can print off a grocery list of the items. She also plans so that you can use the same ingredients for multiple different meals so your fresh ingredients don't go to waste :) It's a great site!

My husband and I used to do savingdinner.com. They have a menu mailer you can get emailed to you each week. You can get menus for low-carb, low-fat, etc, and the nutritional content is in the email as well as the grocery list and recipes. They have versions for both 2 and 4 people (my husband and I would often use the version for 4 and just have leftovers). After awhile we stopped getting the subscription, I kept all of them in my gmail account and now can search on them and find our favorites anyway. I would definitely recommend it! Good luck! :)

I would also highly recommend Weight Watchers. The online tools are very easy to use. You can get daily menus, or type in an ingrediant you have and get a variety of recipes that include that ingrediant. There is also a feature where you can type in yhour own recipes and it will give you suggestions on how to "skinny up" the recipe by making changes to the ingrediants. What I like about Weight Watchers is that it is flexible. I don't have to eat the same things every day. I can customize it to what I want it to be. Most of the recipes make enough for 2-4 people.

www.sparkpeople.com is a really great site. It will give you a weekly menu planner keep track of your calories, has all the nutrition info and you can swap out other great recipes ideas if you don't like what they suggest. When you have decided what you want to eat for the week, it will print out your grocery list for you. It is very similar to Weight Watchers etools and the program on www.Southbeachdiet.com,but sparkpeople is free. You just have to sign up for an account. Good luck!

My husband and I both followed Weight Watchers online plan. There web site was great and really interactive. It does take a little work up front to get your favorite recipies, ect. into your personal system -- but once it is there it is QUICK. My husband and I each had our own personal tracking -- but I kept most of our recipies and stuff on my site and then he'd just do a quick add.

Anyway -- we are taking a break right now from dieting (lost motivation), but when we are ready again this will be where we go.

P.S. I've lost 50 lbs and hubby lost 20 lbs (he started several months after me).

A site that I like is Mealmixer.com. It is not a diet site like weight watchers, but it records your calories and will help you plan one to match whatever diet you are on. It does cost some, but there is a free trial and it is only like 1$ a week. You only pay for the shopping lists you print. So if you wanted to make a few weeks and reuse to save you could. This has self contained recipes or you can use your own as well. All most all of the recipes I tried I loved. It also lets you have preset preferences for foods you like and how long you have to prepare. Some recipes are exotic and some are more family friendly.
Good Luck
