Hi M.. I run a corporate gifts and events business and just did a series of events for Earth Day where we featured a number of local "green" businesses. One of my favorites was Bleeing Heart Bakery. Their goodies are, in a word, fantastic! They have this smores brownie thing that is to die for. There are all kinds of muffins and cookies as well. Everything is delicious, made locally - and all organic. I heard that the owner was even featured on Food Network, so what better reinforcement could there be?! On the flipside, I would strongly recommend NOT using a place called Karyn's,also out of Chicago. I tried working with them on some of my events and they were very difficult to get a hold of. In the end, they made it pretty clear that they were far too busy to deal with the likes of me. Pretty much turned me off to their business from here on out.

I have been vegetarian/vegan for over 10 years and try to eat mostly organic foods and little processed foods. I really adore Blue Heron Bakery in Olympia Washington. (I found it while attending college nearby at Evergreen State College.) They ship their foods for you. http://www.blueheronbakery.com/ It is made so far away but they arrive fresh! I recommend any of their cookies or bars - fudge bars are great!

Hi, Have you ever heard of Kim and Scott's Gourmet Pretzels? I'm not sure if they are organic (I am pretty sure all-natural) They make a large variety of awesome stuffed pretzels and you can order them online. They come frozen in dry ice. I believe they are about $2.79 each and part of the proceeds go to cancer research. The spinach and feta one is great as well as my favorite-pumpkin cheesecake. They are also located in Chicago.
