Burlington Coat Factory has the cutest and most inexpensive baby and childrens' clothes and they are all brand-named! They used to have a location in Mesquite, on the other side of the freeway from Town North Mall. Check their website to confirm: www.coat.com

If you don't mind the drive, try "Belks" in Mckinney. I love this place. They have tons of girl clothes, it new to the area.

Other than traditional stores in the mall like Gymboree(Firewheel and Town East), Children's Place (Town East), The Gap, Old Navy, Department Stores, or Kohl's, you could try Sugar Children's Clothing in Rowlett. The are moderate to high end and carry names such as My Vintage Baby, Petunia Pickle Bottom, Baby Nay, Little Mass, Lipstik, Oink Baaby, Trish Scully, and Barefoot Dreams. If you are looking for special this is it. If you are looking for casual wear, you can't beat Gymboree. Firewheel has a great location and the clothes wash so well. The address and other info for Sugar is as follows:

It is a castle shaped house off Rowlett Road soon after you cross Miller on your Right. If you have reached Main in Rowlett, you have gone too far. Parking is small.

Location: 4100 Rowlett Road, Suite 200, Rowlett, TX 75088
 Phone: ###-###-####
 Hours: Tue-Sat 10am-5pm
 Ages: infant to 8
 Cost: Moderate to Expensive

i live in rowlett and travel to the Allen outlet stores, they are inexpensive. The have Carter's, Little Me, OshKosh, The Children's Place, KB Toys and several others.(I normally do not spend more than 5-7 dollars per outfit) Now that it is getting cooler it is well worth the trip. Good Luck and watch for their clearance sales!!!!!L.

Hi D.,
I buy most of my kids clothes at the thrift store. The first one is Family Thrift in Garland- it is on Miller Rd and Glenbrook. The other one is Case View Thrift on Gus Thomasson, near Ferguson, next door to the Walmart Market. Both have very clean clothes and a good selection.
Have fun!
