Is there a general metro area that you'd like to have the kitchen in?

K.,
I had my own small catering business for a short while, and needed kitchen space, too. I asked the owners of a restaurant I frequented if I could use their kitchen off-hours. We wrote up a contract and I paid them for my time. I worked from 9pm - midnight. It was really nice to have all that space and equipment.

If you belong to a church you may want to check that out. Depending on the quality of the kitchen you might be able to use that.

Good Luck!

Hi Katrina,
I have just completed a two year journey on trying to find a commercial kitchen, so I would love to pass on my learnings to you. You can check into community centers and VFWs are pretty flexible when it comes to renting kitchen space. I'm not sure what side of town you live on, but the Hopkins Community Center is open to renting their kitchen space and the staff there are very friendly. There is a guy that has a catering business in St. Louis Park that may be open to renting his space as well. Also, I am a member of a local organization that I think would be a great benefit to you. Its called Women Who Really Cook. The annual membership is between $35-$40 and you are around a bunch of women that are supportive, smart and building food related businesses. The website for WWRC is www.wrrc.info. I hope this is helpful and I wish you the best. I have my own business as well. I create and sell cookie bouquets. My website is www.myfavorabletreats.com. I know you will be successful:)
