Hi ladies,
I am looking for feedback about classes, which i can attend with my 10 months old baby girl. We both love interaction with other parents and babies and i would like to learn more about the stage of her development she is now, how to play and teach her skills. We are in North Seattle Area.

What can I do next?

Check out the parent and child classes offered at Edmonds Community college. The classes are fun, infomative and a place to connect with other parents.

We have been doing Kindermusik as well and enjoy it very much. Their website can connect you with a location near you.

Also check the seattle parks and rec website. They have all kinds of classes at the community centers and pools.

seattle community colleges have parent/toddler classes that sound like a good fit for what you describe. we go on capitol hill but there is another location up north.

Hi M.,

I don't know if it is too far for you, but we loved the Lake Washington Toddler Group located in Kirkland. For more information go to http://www.lwtg.net/. It looks like the open house and registration for new students is on March 28th, 10am-12pm. The classes do fill up so if you are interested I would recommend going to register on the 28th. My sister is currently taking her second year there with her daughter and loves it.

We've been doing Kindermusik for about a year since my daughter was about 7 months old and it's really great! We've really enjoyed it and have lots of friends in our class now. We've done a trial class of Music Together and that is also a great program! There's one in Lynnwood that might be close enough for you, but there isn't one that's convenient for us to get to. Lots of people like Gymboree but it just hasn't been what's right for us. You can do a google search and all 3 programs will show up.

M.,

Have you considered a YMCA? I know the Dale Turner Y that recently opened in Shoreline has parent/baby/toddler yoga classes. They also offer water babies classes for babies as young as 6 months.

Hi M.,

I took classes (several times already) at the Mountlake Terrace swimming pool. The first time was around 10 months old. It is easy to find when you google it. Write me if you want more info or call them, they are very helpful and the pool is perfect for kids.

I haven't tried these classes yet but have heard good things about the program at Edmonds Community College. I have a friend who is taking the toddler class right now. http://www.edcc.edu/pared/Infant-Toddler%20Program/defaul...

hope this helps. I am just starting to look into classes myself for my 7 month old girl. The brand new YMCA on 99 has a lot of mom and child classes if you are looking to workout with your daughter.
