Anyone have any good catering/food suggestions that you have used for birthday parties? I am in the far north suburbs - Lindenhurst and have a 3 year old party and 1 year old. Tons of people - adults and kids so looking for something good besides pizza!
Thanks for reading!

A lot of sandwich places will cater around there. Potbelly does catering and subway of course.

Gurnee probably has lots of places. I know Famous Dave's BBQ in Vernon Hills does a good job, but I don't know if they'll go as far as Lindenhurst.

I would just focus on what kind of food you want and call around. Even if they don't advertise for catering, a lot of places will do bulk orders for a reduced price.

Good luck and have fun!

Hi M.,

We always go to Orlando's/Diana's Dream in Round Lake on Rollins Road, for all our catering needs. They are reasonable and have awesome, mostaccioli, Italian Beef and chicken. For the salad I make up my own and get Saluto's Salad Dressing. They are located in Gurnee just east of Rt. 45 on left side of street. Have fun and enjoy the birthday party!

Hi,
We have used Corky's several times. The food is good and it is reasonably priced. Their website is http://www.corkyscatering.com/

Happy Bday to your kids; I have a double bday party in July for my 3 yr old and 1 old also! If you opt not to do catering and would like to do something from your home, you could always throw some beef in a crock pot and make beef au jus sandwiches or Italian beef sandwiches. That is always delicious! And not to mention, easy and non-time consuming while having a party :) Good luck!

I used Brown's chicken a few years ago for my daughter's party. They have many packages to choose from and much more than just chicken. I bought a veggie tray, chips and cake from Sam's. Everyone loved it. This year we just did a BBQ and bought stuff from Sam's to make Nachos very cheap and they were a big hit. Next year I am going to do a carnival theme with snow cones, Nachos, corndogs and cotton candy! I am sure it will be a big mess but a lot of fun. LOL I will also set up carnival type games to play and have prizes from Oriental Trading Company.

My friend bought a bunch of different party trays from Walmart in Antioch and that was nice too. The little ones really liked the fruit and cheese platter.
