I would recommend Dr. Richard Levy in Arlington Heights. He is a great OB - I had two kids delivered by him and was very happy with his care.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my ob/gyn. He was my OB for years and 5 months ago delivered my twin girls. They are very accomodating and have a nice office staff. It is Dr. Pozzi, Dr. Winkelman, and Dr. Forcier (all males) and they have a nurse who does routine visits and things, Erin Hoffman. They are through Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove. The number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

I love Dr Kathryn Ray, she is great. You do have to make your appts in advance with her though. She is out of Hoffman Estates and Wheeling.

I think the most wonderful OB/GYN is Dr. Geittman with Northwest Women's Consultants. He was there medically and emotionally for 2 births and 2 miscarriages.

I go to the Comprehensive Women's Center in Hoffman Estates and I LOVE it there! I have only seen one of the doctors in the practice, Dr. Gladdin, and he is awesome! I mean...literally the best doctor I think I have ever had!! They are located next to St. Alexius hospital off of Barrington Rd. between Rt 72 and Rt 58. Hope this helps you in your search! =]

Dr. Keith and Dr. Dohr (part of the practice called Novas, Dohr, and Coll) are awesome! The other two docs in the practice are good as well, but I liked these two the best. The doctors are all female. The office is in Barrington and they deliver at Good Sheperd and St. Alexius. ###-###-#### is the number (I think).

I'm in Palatine too, I go to Dr. Ranae Yockey at Alexian in Elk Grove, she has a great new office in the new addition, she has privleges at Alexian Bros, St. Alexius in Hoffman Ests, and at NW Comm Hosp in Arl Hts. she is WONDERFUL and is new mom again herself, She has a great website at http://advancedwomenscarecenter.com
She practices traditional ob/gyn medicine with complementary alternatives if applicable. She really listens when you need to talk and has a great staff of all women. including Nurse midwifery and my friend had her hysterectomy done w/a wonderful experience due to the new techniques that Dr.Yockey uses. I cannot recommend her enough times!

take care, L.

An awesome OB/GYN is Woman Care on Rand Road in Arlington Heights. Also they have a group on Roselle Road in Schaumburg. They have both male and female doctor. But Dr. Dominicis is one of the best in this area. He has wonderful bed side manner and explains and answers all of your questions and concerns. Hope this helps.

A.,

I have been to WomanCare (Mt. prospect and Palatine) offices, both linked to NWCommunity Hospital in Arlington Heights. All drs I saw, and their nurse practitioner were great.

When we moved into Lake County, I wanted to be closer to Good Shepherd hospital and switched to drs associated with it. So now I go to Novas, Dohr and Assoc. Dr. Dohr is AWSOME.

Treat it like anything else, ask questions in advance over the phone to learn about the drs. Make sure you ask the important questions like their days, hours, education, and anything else that's relevant to you. For example, we wanted to ensure Dr. Dohr delivered our baby since she was my OB. We got a guarantee from her that she would come, even if it wasn't her rotation. That's what made her awsome for us.

I "prescreened" our kids pediatricians. I recommend everyone else does the same for their own doctors. Afterall, you want to get in when it fits your schedule. And have a relationship with someone who has similar views on health and wellness that you do. Their bedside manner can be determined after you see them. Believe me, I've had great doctors with zero personality or human connection. It's important to find a balance that works for you.

Best of luck!

I also love Northwest Womens Consultants. I really love all the doctors there. Dr. Stone-Mulhern and Dr. Geittman delivered my baby but I saw all of them during my pregnancy and thought they were all great!

Novas, Dohr, and Coll in Barrington are awesome. It is a practice of four women. The office is really nice and since there are so many of them it isn't difficult to get appointments. Their number is ###-###-####.

Womancare is on Rand Rd just east of 53; they also have another office in Schaumburg. Their doc's are great, especially Dr's. Albion and Goldin. ###-###-####
