These darn new kindergarten rules have me losing my mind! With 2 older kids now I have to stress about an eye doctor exam because my pediatrician can't do it for my youngest.... Does anyone know of a good opthamologist in the Northbrook or Glenview area?
I have taken my 3yr old son to Dr. Nancy Hamming a few times and she is great. She is a pediatric ophthalmologist and was recommended to us by Lake Forest Pediatrics. She has an office in one of the medical buildings on the grounds of Lake Forest Hospital. Her phone numbers are ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. I don't know if she has any other offices closer to Northbrook or Glenview.

Dr. Minou Colis is in Glenview and is who has been treating my 2 year old son since he was 6 months old. We were referred to her by Glenbrook Pediatrics. She's got great credentials, is affiliated with Children's Hospital, received her degree from Boston University, and is very gentle with little tykes. She's a pediatric opthamologist. Go to Premeire Eye Care in Buffalo Grove. They might have offices out by you to check into it they are THE BEST for kids of all ages and surgery!

We took our 6 1/2 year old and our almost 5 year old to Assure Vision in Arlington Heights. They were wonderful with both, and had the necessary forms. They also have a location in Glenview. Their website is http://www.assurevision.com/ They are reasonably priced, but took our vision plan.

Please, please, please don't take your child to Dr. Minou Colis, especially for this type of exam. She misdiagnosed my child, then proceeded to charge us a ridiculous amount for the exam. There are plenty of wonderful eye doctors in the area, she just isn't one of them. Unfortunately her staff is also very unhelpful and not very nice people to be around.
