Hi there!
We're looking to upgrade our child's infant car seat to a forward facing toddler seat. I'd like to purchase a 5 point harness car seat and would like some advice as there are so many out there. Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

Any of the Britaxs' are the best. You never have to buy another seat again, they are number one on every list for safety. However, you have to pay for what you get. They are expensive. Good luck. Target and Babies R Us have them that I have seen.

My MIL bought this one for our son and it works fine.

Hi Ashley
We also are using the Triumph carseat that someone else mentioned. We have 3 car seats and two are the Triumphs. The other is a Graco that I paid about $80 to give to the sitter when she needed to take my son places. (All seats convert from rear to forward facing.) My husband feels (i'd have to agree) that the Triumph is a far superiour seat and that it just feels safer than the others. It is easy to get him into the seat.

We read the Baby Bargain's book when we did our car seat research. Swing by Barne's and Nobel and check out what they say.

Have a good one...

I have an Evenflo Triumph 5 and I love it. The straps never get twisted and you can tighten it from the side. It also has the really soft padding (I can't remember the name). It is a convertible so if you have anymore children it goes from infant to front facing. The only thing that I would say is that I would recommend the delux version because the seatcover comes off much more easily than on mine, so if you have children like mine who are the carsick queens, it makes cleaning much easier.

We have the Britax (Roundabout) car seat for our little girl. It is probably one of the most expensive car seats out there but it is worth every penny and more, it is WONDERFUL!!!! My husband and I bought one for our car, one for grandma's car, and now with our second little girl just born, we are looking forward to buying another for her when she grows out of her infant seat.

The Bristax roundabout is SO awesome, it can rear face and hold an infant right up to a toddler until they are totally out of a car seat. My husband is 6'6" and so both of our girls are very long. Our oldest grew out of her infant seat at 5 months old, so we bought the Roundabout and put it rear facing in our car. She is now 2 1/2 years old and 30 lb.'s and still fits perfect and cozy in the seat.

I HIGHLY recommend this seat! Check it out :-)
