check out momsclub.org. It is a not a christian organization, but there are definately members that are christian. All members are stay at home moms. The website can put you in touch with the chapter for your area. You can also email me and I can give you more information. Welcome to motherhood!

Windwood Presbyterian Church on Spring Cypress and Huffsmith Korrville has a group called Busy Mom's that meets every other week. It is a combination Bible Study and activities for Moms. I believe childcare is offered. Good people, good coversation and a good time.

I attend Northwoods Presbyterian Church at 1960 and T.C. Jester. It is a great place with lots of families with young children. There is an active Mom's group. You can check out the website at www.northwoods.org. Good luck getting settled.

Hey E.! I live in Conroe, but right near The Woodlands. I'm not sure where you are in Spring, but I'm only about 20 minutes away. My name is H.. I have a 3 month old (3 months today). I am a believer and I'm in a homegroup of young married's with my church WoodsEdge Community Church. I have a friend in my homegroup with a 1 year old, and another who will have a newborn here in less than a month. I'm not sure if you're interested, but you're welcome to check out our homegroup this Friday. (You can bring the baby too. I always do!) Maybe you can find some good fellowship with us! And welcome to Spring!

P.S. I stay at home with our baby girl, so I'm always up for hanging out with other moms with little ones!

Have you thought about participating in a Bible study? Champion Forest Baptist Church on Steubner-Airline has many to choose from and provides childcare during the time that you meet. I have found in the past that I form very close friendships with the ladies in all the Bible studies that I've attended, partly because of the sharing that goes on when you meet to go over your lesson, and mostly because the Holy Spirit draws us very close to one another. I have friends from Bible studies of 10 years ago with whom I still maintain contact. Another important note: If your schedule is too hectic to do all the "homework" involved in the lesson, don't let that stop you from going. No one checks up on you to see if you did the assignments. They are just glad to see you! Let me know what you think.
