Hi,
I'm trying to find some type of Mommy and Me program or gymnastics program for my 19mo old daughter without having to travel too far. Crown Point does not have too many things available through their park district. Does anyone know of any place that has things to do for my daughter? I'm trying to do different activities at home, but it's been too cold for her to go outside and she's getting cooped up because it's winter! What does everyone else do with their toddlers in the winter around here?

Try tumblebears mobile. I took my daughter there from about 20 months on, it's a traveling gymnastics program. VERY affordable. The classes I attended where at the Crown Point community/rec center of West ST. It was wonderful. (the key is MOBILE) there is also a tumblebears.

Well I am not sure if it is open but we drove by a place on 30 in Merr by the good will store that has the indoor jumping stuff. Another fun thing may be Chuckie Cheese they do have a play area for the younger ones, plus you can play some games.
Hobart may be a little to far but Lisa's Gymnastics offers a mommy and me class. You may even take a drive to the mall and take your little one to the play area near Macys. Kids always seem to love that. Other than that maybe even readings at the Library.

I live in CP too and a friend of mine introduced me to all of the wonderful library programs in CP and there is TERRIFIC one in Cedar Lake...you may want to check out all of the story/activities they offer for the little ones! We also did Gymboree in Dyer for the kids for a long time..but we're taking a break from it now! I know just how you feel about the cold weather and trying to keep the kids busy!
