Hello,we just moved from Chicago to the Columbus area, near Upper Arlington/Grandview. I have a 2 1/2 year old little girl. We have been making our way to various playgrounds, but we have not always been successful finding playgrounds with many people present. I am looking for another way to meet other nice parents in the area with nice children around the same age. Are there any parent-child groups or activities (that are not religion based), in this area that you could recommend? Looking forward to hearing from you.

What can I do next?

I'm a current co-leader of a national organization, Mothers and More of Columbus. Please check us out at www.mothersandmore.org for more information on playgroups, mom's night out, park days, special clubs and LOTS more!! If you have any questions, let me know. You can visit us at three mom's only events before deciding on whether or not to join.

Welcome to Columbus!
I haven't been to any of these myself, but I found a website that has a list of several groups in the Columbus area. Let us know if you go to any and what you thought!

I live in Grandview, and while I don't always see many people at the park, there are always tons of families at the swimming pool (On Goodale, and they seem to let non-Grandview residents in.) The Grandview library has many activities for smaller children, along with festivals and music in the summer. (The Dog Days festival is coming up this weekend, I believe.) Your best bet would be contacting whatever city you actually live in and find out what's going on in the community. Whether you are in Grandview or UA, you chose a great place to raise children.

Hi there! Try www.MOMSCLUB.org

ON there you will be able to search by state, city and then find the contact for the group in your area. They are not religion based, although some do meet in a church. (not for worship, just for meeting space if that makes sense?)

Good luck and let me know if you need any more info!
