My gynecologist moved so I would like some recommendations on wonderful gynecologists in the Bellevue, Washington area. I would prefer a female. Please give me some of your referrals. Thank you!

I just moved to the Bellevue, WA area, and am currently pregnant with our third child. I found Dr. Harold Zimmer at BelGrove OB/Gyn and he's wonderful. I've always had women MDs, so this is a first for me as well, but he immediately put me at ease with his sense of humor and intelligence. He also spent about 30-40 min with me on my first visit just talking in his office. I've actually heard great things about all the MDs there, so if you feel more comfortable with a woman I'm sure they can recommend someone, but I have had a great experience with Dr Zimmer. good luck!

Hi
I highly recommend Dr Karen Bohmke, although she is in Seattle on First Hill. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. I have had the been seeing Dr Bohmke since I was 25 and diagnosed with endometriosis. She is named the top OB/GYN in Seattle every year. She is caring, straight forward and honest. If you are interested, she is with Northwest Women's Healthcare and all the physicians in the practice are awesome. Good Luck

If you have good insurance, the UW Physicians Network has some phenomenal gynecologist. If you're willing to be flexible, many of the UW Neighborhood clinics have family practitioners with specialties in gynecology/obstetricts. I go to the UW Physicians Factoria Clinic in Bellevue, and have been very happy with them. The phone number for the Factoria clinic is ###-###-####. Also, they have excellent gynecologists at the Roosevelt Clinic (I saw two gynecologists there named Dr Minderata, and Dr Miller, both women, and liked them both), and at the UW Medical Center as well. the Factoria clinic can give you the phone number for both the Roosevelt Clinic Medical Center. Good luck!

Hi M.. I went to Peggy Kibble at Overlake OBGYN for years. She is a nurse practitioner, but I really liked her. I have since moved and now go to Northwest Women's Health Care next to Swedish Hospital in Seattle (Dr. Heath Miller is amazing and was my OB during my pregnancy with my son) if you don't mind the drive to Seattle. Dr. Bohmke (mentioned below) actually delivered my son since my doctor wasn't on call, and she was wonderful too. But all of the doctors at Overlake OBGYN are great (they have several women MDs) and I believe they accept most medical insurance. They are on 116th near Overlake Hospital and their telephone number is ###-###-####. Good luck to you!

Dr. Moore at Bellegrove OBGYN is the most fabulous doc ever! She delivered my now 4 1/2 year old. She's very caring, listens, is young, has a young child too and is very knowledgable.

Karen Wells at Evergreen is wonderful! She is an OBGYN and followed my last pregnancy and birth. Down to earth, experienced, funny and sweet. She ONLY goes by Karen and she'll tell you so :) good luck with your search.

I've been to see Dr. Joanna Forwell (www.drforwell.com) in South Lake Union twice now, and she's an incredibly talented GYN examiner. She *is* an MD, and is also a naturopath, and *is* covered by insurance like a regular MD. Couldn't recommend her more highly - she also treats my kids. I drive in from Woodinville, but it's worth it!

I recently moved to area and started seeing Dr. Trisha Pollara at Valley Medical Pavillion in Newcastle. I don't know what part of Bellevue you are in, but Dr. Pollara's office is off of Coal Creek Pkwy. She is not far from Factoria. I didn't have any recommendations to see her from anyone else, I was just trying to find someone closer to my home than the gynecologist my neurologist had recommended in Seattle. I've been to Dr. Pollara 3 times for various reasons (she is a general practitioner who also does routine gyn work), and I have been very pleased. Her office number is 425/656-5406.
