Can anyone recommend a good reliable and effective steam floor mop? I have researched them but wanted to know if anyone out there has experienced purchasing one that they would recommend. Any input negative or positive would greatly be appreciated! Thanks so much in advance!!!

I have the bissell one and love it! I know others that have the shark one and they love it too! I will not ever go back to a regular mop.

I got a Shark the other day. I really liked it. My floor was REALLY dirty though. I used the first pad and it was black when I got done. I had to refill the water 5 times which was no big deal. When I got done I used the 2nd pad to go over it again and it was pratically clean when I got done. I am happy with it and I like that the steam mops are chemical free.

I have the H20 mop and love it! The steam sanitizes the floor as you mop. With a small clip on accessory, you can even use it to remove tuff stains/spills on carpet! I have had my mop for 1-1/2 years and use it at least once a week - it is AWESOME! Of course, when you pay $100 for a steam mop, you expect it to be good, and I have not been disappointed.
Good luck!

I have the Shark. I got it at Christmas and it came with a handheld cleaner. It cleans the floors great. I am a little picky about my grout, though and need to use the handheld cleaner/steamer on the grout. (Hands and knees...yuck! But, it gets the job done better than anything else I've tried!)

Try the Shark. You can get it at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I have the Shark and I LOVE it. The steam mop took a little getting used to but it is so much easier to keep up with my floors now. As an added bonus, when we moved in my husband got tar on the new floors, I tried everything to get it off and finally learned to live with it. After a few uses of the Shark, I noticed the tar was gone!

I have the monster, which I am very happy with. The only problem I have with it is that it is too large to fit under the edge of the cabinets, so usually I squirt it was the steam and then wipe with a paper towel.

I bought a shark yesterday at sams. I'm already in love. It was so much easier on my wood and it got so much grime off my tile too. At sams it also comes with a steam cleaner for the home. I've used it to clean mirrors that always seem foggy and the edges of the sink drains etc. It is also a good tool. Both products are sold together for $79.

I have the H2O mop. The one on the infomercials. We like it. I wouldn't say it's fabulous or anything, but it certainly does just as good as a regular mop, and there is no icky bucket of water that you keep sloshing around. It was not that expensive. I think like 100 bucks. We use it on our wood, terracotta, tile and travertine floors and it works on all of them. There is an attachment for carpet, but we haven't tried it yet. Good luck!

I have the shark and what i do is get a spray bottle (I use vinegar and water because I have a crawler in the house and don't want to use chemicals) and spray the floor as I steam it. It works really good.

I liked the idea of the shark, but when I got it I was a little disappointed. The pad did not get wet enough to get crud up off the floor. I wanted so much to like it like everyone else does, but I just didn't. Thankfully I got it from Costco, so I was able to return it will no problem...they have the best return policy ever!

I am also in LOVE with the Shark. It's great mostly when you have kiddos. I feel confident my floors are clean and b/c it's only water I feel confident I'm not putting anything toxic.
