My 2 year old daughter has mild asthma and is currently being treated by a pediatric allergist. I am not happy with this doctor for many reasons. I would like to get a second opinion and looking for recommendations for a pediatric allergist in the Rochester Hills area (doesn't have to be immediate area, will travel 45-60 mins.)

We have gone to Allergy and Asthma Center of Rochester and saw Robert Czarnecki. He is real nice and easy to talk to. They are located in the medical building attached to Crittenton Hospital. Here is there phone # and address

Hi C.,
Myself and my children (ages 8 & 11 years old) see Dr. Savliwala located in Bloomfield Hills @ the intersection of Square Lake and Woodward. Prior to seeing Dr. Savi (his nickname) I drove to Clinton Twp. Dr. Savi was recommended by our Pediatrician since my son was always sick - even with the allergy/asthma care he received in Clinton Twp. Within 6 months of seeing Dr. Savi the three of us have been free of Pnemonia, Strep & Croup; which was recurrent in all of us before. He is very calm, nurturing and will take as much time as needed to address any of your concerns. I highly recommend him. ###-###-####.

My son sees a pediatric pulmonologist out of Beaumont Royal Oak. He also specializes in allergies. He is absolutely wonderful! He has never spent less than a half an hour with us. He takes his time and listens to everything you tell him. If he was a ped, I would go to him for regular check ups in a heartbeat. The only drawbacks are: the first appt takes a while to schedule. Because you're a new pt, it's about 2 mos out. Secondly, he only works on Fridays.
His name is Dr. Doshi. Phone number: ###-###-####.

Good luck!

We see Dr Erban. She is located in Troy. I will try to look up her number. I have been very happy with her. It's not too far from Rochester either. I live in Shelby/Rochester border..

We like Dr. Cynthia Cookingham. She is in Clarkston, I believe (just off of 75 north of Auburn Hills). I saw someone else at the practice, the eldest physician in the practice, and while I'm sure he is very knowledgeable, I didn't care for his "bedside manner" with me or with my son.

My son who is 2 yrs. old saw Dr.Duane Harrison out of Clarkston Allergy and Asthma. I was recommended to him from my pediatrician,it took 2 months to see him. But I was very happy with him. He was great with my son, patient, and very personable.

I like the pediatric allergists out of Children's Hospital. They also have offices in Birmingham & Sterling Heights. You can find their locations on the CHM website www.childrensdmc.org. All of the doctors are good, but I especially like Dr. Secord.

There is a group in Grosse Pointe. go to ahccenter.com
They are chiropractors and find the cause rather than just treating symptoms. They use natural means and get amazing results! It's a 40 minute trip from Rochester. I would love to hear if you go and what your results are!
