Anyone know of a good reputable infertility specialist in the North Dallas/McKinney/Allen/Frisco/Plano area???? I have been going to one in Dallas, but the office seems very disorganized and don't seem to really care about their patients. So I'd like to switch and since I live in McKinney, I'm hoping for someone a little closer to home. Please let me know too if there is someone you would NOT recommend so I know to steer clear from that office. Thanks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

So, this is a long overdue update. I did wind up going to Dr. Douglas in Plano. He was amazing. He listened, spent the time, seemed to care, has excellent staff. I have to say it was like night and day from my prior infertility doctor I had seen in Dallas. He was very aggressive in treating my situation. I initially got pregnant right away with him, but miscarried that one. We then tried again with some different methods and shabam....pregnant again. This time it took and worked. I am now 9 months pregnant in my last final stretch. I owe it all to Dr. Douglas. I hands down recommend him to anyone having fertility issues. He even came in several times on the weekend to see me when I had questions or concerns.

Thank you to all of you who responded and helped me find Dr. Douglas.
:)S.

My husband and I have used James Douglas, MD in Plano. His office is across the street from Medical Center Plano. We have worked with him on both of our pregnancies. He is wonderful. His staff is also excellent.

Good luck!

I also went to a fertility specialist in Dallas and found the office to be very disorganized and the staff apathetic, at best. After much research, I changed physicians and am now seeing Dr. Madden and Dr. Meintjes in Frisco. The doctors and the staff are wonderful!
Following is their website:

Best of luck to you!

Dr. James Douglas. He is at MCP (15th/Coit) and he uses ARTS at Plano Presby. His office runs like a well oiled machine - pretty efficient at what they do. Like a PP said, he is very up front with his options and costs, and he does not try to sway you to one way or another (if its not an obvious decision). His bedside manners are not the greatest - he's not the warmest doctor in the world, but I didn't care, I wanted someone who knew what he was doing. After an unsuccessful IUI (at his office), I had twins on my first IVF.

A friend of mine just used Dr. Barnett...they miscarried but are having a successful pregnancy with a frozen embryo transfer. Dr. B also uses the ARTS at PP.

Dr. Samuel Chantilis with D/FW IVF is a reproductive ( infertility doctor) specialist. He is board certified in the specialty. You can read more about him here: www.dfwivf.com. He has the highest ratings in the country. Dr. C is located in Presby Dallas Hospital and has other locations. He heads their oocyte (egg) retrieval program. He is one of the top 10 in the US in fertility medicine, and the best in Dallas. He also has two physician partners, Dr. Karen Lee is one of them. Dr. Chantilis' pregnancy achieval rates are higher. He is the best! http://www.dfwivf.com/infertility-specialist-chantilis.html

Dr. Douglas with at Plano Medical Center is wonderful! We've had 2 kids... the first time I was pregnant within 3 mo. and the second time within 2. (They wanted me to try for a 3rd and they said they would get it in 1) ! :)
The office staff is very nice and after going thru this process and seeing all of the factors that have to be EXACTLY right in order to have a baby... it is a true miracle that anyone gets pregnant without help!

Hello. I used Dr Brian Barnett. He has a new partner. The new partner went through infertility with his wife. He is at Plano Presby but also has a brand new office in Frisco at Warren and Legacy. I did IUIs and then IVF. He was my second infertility doctor. The nurses are wonderful. Since you will spend lots of time with them doing blood work and lessons on your procedures/treatments.
I have 3 year old B/G twins.
Then I went to Dr. Garner for pregnancy and delivery.
Wishing good things for you. Let me know if you have any other questions.

After 7 years and LOTS of doctors, tests, and wasting lots of money we finally went to Dr. Howard in Carrollton. He was recommeded by a friend. I was pregnant within 6 months. He didn't jump right into IVF. He identified a couple issues, addressed them, and after one IUI procedure, I was pregnant.

Dr. Howard is a reproductive endocrinologist. He isn't an OB that "specializes" in infertility. I went to 3 of those.
