I currently go to a gastroenterologist at the University of Chicago for treatment of crohn's disease. I have been recently having issues so called to make an appt and can't get in until 12/24 - I don't think I should wait 3 months. I was hoping the great women on mamasource could recommend a good doctor in the area that might be more accommodating. Thank you!

What can I do next?

Dr. Robert Janda is a wonderful man and his practice is out of Hinsdale, convenient to get to from I-355 . Great Dr. and kind bedside manner. Good luck.

Hello,
I have been going to Dr. Vanagunas at Northwestern for over a decade and he is wonderful! He is very accomodating to "squeeze" me in when there are issues. I have also seen Dr. Bennett and he was great too. There are many GIs in that department. Good luck!!

Try Dr. Lue at Southwest Gastroenterology in Oak Lawn. It's been about 5-years since I saw him last, but he was great. He was referred to me by my family Dr. and I heard great things about him from others in the health community.

For chrohns i recommend natural care vs harmful medications that may actually worsen the disease. We do full allergy panels, and recommend herbs and alternative medicines, and vitamin balances to help control chrons disease and prevent its worsening. contact me if you would like more info on natural care for chrons
