I am low income and on Medicaid with Blue Care. I need a doctor locally for me that I can trust. The last doctor I had was my OB, but now I need a general doctor. If any moms can recommend one, I would appreciate it! I don't have any major health issues as yet, but wish to have a doctor that will be able to diagnose correctly problems as they arise. Thanks in advance for any help!

I used to go to Blue Springs Family, I see a lot have requested them. I have no real complaints about them, it is a good practice. A friend told me about a Doctor in Grain Valley though, Dr. Alan Scharer and I love him!! He is the kindest, most patient Doctor I ahve ever been to. Highly reccomend him.
I love Dr Dexter and Dr Wagner at Blue Springs Family Care. They both have a great bedside manner and take good care of me and my family.
We see Dr. Bruce Scully at Family Care of Eastern Jackson County. I have known him personally for years and he is a christian man & a wonderful, caring person. I don't what insurance they take but you might give them a call. They are located in the office buildings directly behind the Saturn dealership off the frontage road between Woods Chapel and 7 HWY.
I also go to Blue Springs Family Care. I see Dr. Anna Wagner. I really like her. She never seems like she is in a hurry and will listen to all of your concerns. I also know Dr. Mackey in the group and I think he is a really good doctor too.
We have seen Anthony Gunn at Blue Springs Family Care. I don't know what insurance they take. He seems very kind and friendly and down to earth, and I would recommend him as a doctor for adults.
I take my young boys to a pediatrician now, but my husband and I will still see him. Once I took both of my boys in when both were sick, but had only been able to make an appointment for one, and he listened to my concerns and even looked at my other son after the nurse responded rudely to my simply inquiry that "he can only look at the patient the appointment is for".
