My daughter pees alot!! And have diarhea and constipation all the time. She often feels she is not done after urinating. And sometimes if she drinks alot she will be sitting for 15 minutes with little dribbles of pee coming out. She also felt extremely thirsty for about a month every day but that has gone away. She still drinks alot and is thirsty more often than normal but it isnt nearly as bad as it was. She has had an xray, blood test, urine tests, and was put on a medication to relax her bladder.
O yeah! She also had a cleansing with miralax to be sure she didnt have functioning constipation squeezing her bladder. Also, it comes and goes sometimes her symptoms are worse than other times. I really need help to find out what is wrong!
She also has warts and had mollusc but i doubt that has anything to do with it.
I still think she has diabetes but is it possible after all of the tests?
I appreciate your time

All the peeing and thirst makes me think diabetes as well. Can you get a second opinion from another doctor?

None of us can give you a diagnosis. Just opinions or ideas to discuss with your pediatrician. The symptoms you describe, make it sound like diabetis. Thirst, urination. Warts are a fungus and contagous. Molluscum is a viral infection and highly contagous. I believe it is in the family of HPV and herpes. Children can have it up to 2 years. Molluscum and warts are usually associated with autoimmune diseases. Also, everything else she is experiencing, could have been brought on by meds given for the molluscum. Alot of the skin creams prescribed can cause issues and anxiety, in turn affect her stomach. See your pediatrician and discuss the molluscum in depth and ask for blood tests, hormone tests and ask for an immunologist. The molluscum alone is a sign of an immune disorder. In order for her to have contracted the molluscum, she would have had to have been predesposed to eczema, which is also linked to immune issues. Perhaps it's genetic, it can be, or like I said before, the meds given for molluscum. She definitely has alot going on that you need to get a handle on. Check out these sites and know what you need to ask for. Many times people go undiagnosed because we don't know what to ask for.

Only a doctor can diagnose your daughter. I don't recommend getting a diagnosis on the internet, you can get some pretty scarry advise from people who mean well but don't have the information or resources to provide a diagnosis. Have you taken your daughter to a pediatric urologist? That would be the best place to start.

How old is she and how long has this been going on?

Your story reminds me of a family I know. The mom told me that the little girl would drink and pee a ton, so she started limiting some of her drinking. Then she found her then 3 year old sucking on a wet wash cloth because she was so thirsty. She knew something was up and got her in to see the ped. Turns out the girl had some kidney issues...and many years later (around 14 years of age) had a kidney transplant (mom's kidney).

Keep track of everything you can in a journal. Start asking to see specialists. Maybe an endocrinologist? Urologist?

I think you are doing the right thing. Looking for answers and advocating for your daughter. We can't just expect one doctor to diagnose everything perfectly the first time. I think finding Dr. House is a rare occurrence!

Best of luck, Mama! It is so hard to see our loved ones struggle with health issues.

E., my children and husband all have Type 1 diabetes. Frequent urination and extreme thirst are hallmarks of the disease, but diarrhea and constipation are not.

Occasional (as in the once a month you mentioned) extreme thirst and not feeling "done" after urinating are not related to diabetes. Has your daughter been specifically tested for diabetes? You do need to talk to your doctor. If diabetes is ruled out, you need to brainstorm with your doctor to find out the real problem. You can also ask about Diabetes Insipidus, which mimics the symptoms of diabetes but isn't related to blood sugar or insulin production.

Keep on searching until you find the answer! What does your doctor say? Is he/she actively trying to find out what is wrong with your daughter? If not, you may need to seek another doctor's advice.

Best of luck.

A cousin used to have diarreah and constipation. Her doctor tested her for Celiac Disease and that was the answer. It is not that common, but once she went gluten free it solved the problem. She gets sick and feels horrible now when she has anything with gluten in it. Just a thought, it doesn't hurt to be tested.

E.,
Unfortunately, none of us can diagnose your daughter. We can only give you ideas to take to your pediatrician. The first thing I thought of...has your daughter been tested for diabetes? (Extreme thirst among other thing, can be attributed to that.) Have you had blood tests done to see if she has any hormonal, thyroid, or nutritional imbalances? Have you seen a urologist?

Remember, none of are professionals, or have any real knowledge.

E.,
It sounds like you are doing an awesome job keeping on top of all of this. I know it is extremely stressful when the answers aren't clear. I drive myself absolutely batty wondering if there isn't more going on in a situation. Could your daughter have a little anxiety on top of the symptoms? I took my little one to the ped last night as she has been peeing a lot more than usual and they did a urinalysis and said there was no sugar in the urine and there would be w diabetes so that I can stop worrying about that. They also sent a clean catch urine out to be tested/cultured for a UTI. Did yours do that? They probably did and that often comes with a fever. The blood test would also show an increase in sugar. It sounds though that you need answers....I get very worked up, so I agree with the below posts that I would go see a ped urologist. Maybe they can do a little sono of the bladder area or even a ped GI for the constipation/Diar issue. If you are really worried about the diabetes, as it sounds like you are then simply ask your ped about the tests and I can think he can put your mind at ease. My little cousin who was diagnosed w type 1, was just getting progressively worse before the diagnose. Best of luck! I know it's scary when even the tiniest thing happens to these little ones.
