As with many others, my family & I have also moved here and are looking for a churh home. As I mentioned I would like to find a church (IN GENERAL) West of the Tollway, North of Hwy. 121 and East of Loop 288(headed towards Denton). We live in Savannah of off Hwy. 380, it would be nice not to get to far from home.
My husband and I are in our mid-thirtys, we have a 14yr.old, 11yr.old, a 2 1/2yr.old & a 8 month old. We very much want a church that has activities and teachings for all of our ages. We enjoy a church with a casual atmosphere, contemporary music, and a love for our Lord.
If any of you girls have a church that is close to what we are looking for and that you have falllen in love with, I would appreciate it.

What can I do next?

Hi there - my family attends First United Methodist in The Colony. It's on Paige (Plano Parkway) and just south of South Colony - 4901 Paige is the address I think. We used to attend the traditional service but have started going to the "alternative" service as it is more about singing and very relaxed as far as the environment goes. Our oldest is 13 - she attends the youth meetings and tries to stay active in what they are doing - which is alot! They will be singing at the sunrise service at 6:30 am this Sunday! Good for them!! It's a great church with great people - worth a try????

Take care!

We live near Providence and attend Covenant Church - its about 1 mile off hwy 380 and its great for families; there are several families w children- the childrens and youth programs are outstanding and its a very involved church. It would probably take you about 6-8 minutes from savannah to get there. Go Hwy 380 towards Denton take right on Hwy 377 about 1 mile on right-cant miss sign. It came highly recommended to us when we first moved here, now we know it was a god thing! we love it and the pastor has a heart for the lord!

We attend Horizon's Church here in The Colony. We have been members for almost 2 years. It's a laid back atmosphere and contemporary music. The sermons are incredible! We meet at Griffin Middle School on North Colony Blvd at 10:30. I would say in general we are a "young" church (by age) and we are a new church plant (a little more than 2 years old) here in TC. This is the first time I have felt at home at church since I attended as a kid. It's the most honest Christianity that I have ever been a part of. Hope that helps, and I hope you find a church you love!!!

We are attending a wonderful church called GracePointe Church. It is located on Mayhill and Morse Rd. We meet at 9am for bible study and 10am for worship. We are a small church, but growing at a steady pace. Everyone is very friendly and caring.
Look me up, I teach the 5th & 6th graders. (M.)
