I'm in search of natural or non-toxic household cleaning products. Can you please send me your recommendations? If there are some that you tried and did not like or have heard horror stories about, please let me know that too. I would like to put together a nice gift basket for my mother in law for Christmas.

What can I do next?

I swear by Melaleluca products. They are amazing! I use them because I have a baby at home and I want to know that I am using safe products around him. My husband also has bad allergies and this has made a huge difference.

Let me know if you want more info on their products of if you are interested in learning how to become a customer with them. I know they are having a really good special right now where it is $1 to join. (usually $29)

Best wishes and happy thanksgiving,
L.

There is a book Green Up Your Cleanup which is great! I use vinegar and lemons for nearly everything. Those wouldn't make a great gift on their own, but given with the book they might. :)

I make my own with vinegar, baking soda, a natural dish soap, and I add essential oil to make it smell nice. My favorites are the grapefruit and the lavendar. Extremely inexpensive and easy to make. I can't remember the site where I got the exact recipe, but I just googled "homemade housecleaning products" and went from there.

I second the use of vinegar. We use it all the time and it works great!

Perfect timing. I am a consultant for Melaleuca, the wellness company and our products are natural, green and work amazing. These products are safer for your family and your home and do not contain chlorine bleach, ammonia, aerosols or formaldehyde. The price is also good. One of my faves is the soluguard which is a disinfectant that kills 99.9% of germs with the natural power of thyme and citric acid. And it has been tested and passed to show that it kills the H1N1 virus germs. Would love to tell you more info about these awesome natural products. Thanks J. ###-###-####

I am a Shaklee Independent Distributor and there are no horror stories here! In fact the non-toxic cleaners that are sell are been featured on the Oprah show three times. She had them as one of her favorite things for her holiday show. They are fabulous and I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. I use them myself and I'll never go back!
Follow this link for the perfect gift for your mother in law. I gave some to my Mom, and my Dad.
Here is a link that tells all about the products: http://www.shaklee.net/healinghappens/getclean/index
What I would suggest is the Get Clean Kit.
Let me know what you think.

I use vinegar and clorox. The vinegar is more natural I know. As for the clorox...yes toxic but kills germs. I won't go without it.
