Searching for Moms' Group in Vancouver, Washington

I am hoping to find a group of moms in my area to meet and for kids to play! Are there any ongoing groups I can join? Or if there are several moms looking, maybe we can make our own? I live in Vancouver, WA. But I can travel to most places around NE. I have a wonderful son, Ethan, who is just over 5 months.

What can I do next?

Hi, I wanted to share a couple of ways to get involved with mom's groups. I personally have been a part of a Mom's Club and a MOPS group both exist in the area.
Mom's Club International is a great way to meet mom's through playdates with your children (even infants), you tend to grow your children together. There are lots of activities and park dates to participate in. I liked it because it filled up my calendar with social activities and helped me figure out things to do.

You can find out more at www.momsclub.org. Also, there are MOPS groups which is more of a focus on you as a mom. MOPS groups are a very special way to give you a break. You enjoy a hot breakfast, speakers, crafts set up for you. Your child (when he is a little older) will be cared for during your two hours a month. MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers but it is for any mom with children age 0-6. Go to www.MOPS.org to find a group near you. Personally, I have been a part of both groups for a large part of my mothering of young children. It created a balance between things to do with my child (Mom's Club) and also gave me some much needed adult time (MOPS). Hope this helps.

Hi, Danielle.

Hi, Danielle. Congratulations on your 5-month-son and your desire to reach out to other moms. River Rock Church offers a MOM's Group that I enjoy very much. We just started again last week after breaking for the summer and meet every Tuesday morning 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The address is 2008 SE 8th Ave., Camas, WA 98607 just off Hwy 14. Childcare is available for $3.00 per child with a $5.00 limit. You don't have to put your baby in care though. The care is great, but I didn't put my son in until he was about a year old. He's now two and loves to play with the other kids. This year, we're doing devotionals from "The Power of a Positive Mom" and have craft and special speaker days too. Oh, and there's an outing to the pumpkin patch next month. Hope this helps! Wherever you land, I wish you the best! Just remember, mothering is hard, but very, very, very worth it and kids are resilient.

Danielle,
Hello! I belong to two moms groups. One is called Moving Moms and the other is Meet Other Moms. Both are for Vancouver area moms. The websites for both are listed below. Both are neat in the fact that there are several events that are scheduled each week and you choose the ones that fit for you. I like them very much. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day!
