My boys are 3 and 4, I was thinking of maybe getting them each a scooter for Christmas. Can anybody recommend one that would be good? I'm thinking along the lines of one of those razor scooters, but not sure if they're old enough. They're both pretty agile so I don't want to get one they'll grow out of quickly. They can both ride a bike with training wheels, I just want something else to go along with it. Any suggestions would be great!
Definitely go for a Razor. It will last them a long time - you'll get years of use out of it. If you buy a junior scooter or something geared specifically toward 3 year olds, they'll be done with it by next Christmas.
My friend's daughter will be 3 in March and she zooms around on a regular, two wheeled razor.
I had gotten a scooter for my oldest at about age 4 or 5. It ended up collecting dust.
At about age 7 I got my boys plasma cars. They're also called wiggle cars.
We had gone to a big party in a barn where there were 3 of them and the kids played for 4 hours, zooming around on them, non-stop. Even the littlest ones...2 or 3 years old...were able to enjoy them. They're able to hold 220lbs, so the adults played on them too! They're so fun...you wiggle the handle back and forth, and the car MAGICALLY moves forward or backwards...without your feet even touching the ground.
I found them on ebay in a 4-pack and bought them. The kids and I get on them and play bumper cars, chase eachother around, and have a great time. They're FUN.

You can easily find them on ebay for a great price. Be sure you get one for each (and one for you). It's way more fun if everyone has one.
For that age I would do the three wheel ones the razor was hard for my son when he was 6 years old.
We had three wheel Spiderman scooters from Toys-R-Us when the boys were little. They moved to two wheelers when they were about six.
for that age a 3 or 4 wheel is better, you're kind of at the stage where they are still don't have great balance.
Get a scooter with 4 wheels.
For that age.
Walmart has those.
That is where my kid got theirs, when they were that age.
Definitely get age appropriate scooters and all the safety gear that goes along with them. Helmets, knee, elbow, and wrist pads.
They will biff it until they get the hang of it.

My son was riding a 2 wheel, Razor scooter just after turning 3. It's not the real expensive one either - it was $40 one that was onsale at Christmas for around $25. Once they get the hang of it, it's like riding a bike. Of course make sure you get knee & elbow pads, and make them wear helmets! Have fun!
