Schwans

The food is tasty but the drivers are pests. Even on weeks when I wouldn't order, they would pester me. Also, they are extremely expensive.

I used to use them at my old home before I moved and was re-married...I really need to hook up with them again. I miss them. I loved them. The convenience was great, the food was great, and the price was pretty good too. What I liked the most was the meats being individually vacume sealed so I could pull out each meat as I needed it for dinner. If I needed 3 pieces of chicken for dinner, that is what I could pull out, or if I needed 13, that is what I could pull out. Everything really did taste great. The individual ice-creams were a great price too. I have to get them to come here again...I just have to talk my husband into it...wait, I'm the boss...lol...I have to make a phone call.

My parents have ordered from them for years. They come right to the house. I think they are a little pricey, but all the food I have had has been great.

It is very convenient, however, you pay for it in the price. I liked that I could have the guy stop by just once a month, rather than every other week. They were not pushy at all if I didn't have an order. I went two monthes without anything and they were just as nice as the first time. The foods that I got were awesome! Do to allergies in our house we can't order from there any more, but I would recommended it for conveniences for someone else.

I have a friend who uses Schwanns all the time. The prices are a little high, but if you factor in the time and gas to go to the store and buy them yourself, you may not consider it so expensive.

My friend really likes the taste of nearly everything she has bought from Schwanns and those things she does not like are a matter of taste and not the quality of the products they sell.

I used to order from Schwans all the time. The people are friendly the ordering/delivery process is a breeze, and the food that I have had from there tasted GREAT. My husband and children both liked the food very much too. The price I think is a bit on the high side, but you are getting delivered to you so that might be the reason why?!?! For that reason, I never used them for my grocery shopping, I just ordered a few things that we all liked a week. I think that they offer online ordering for added convenience. It is worth a try, and if you end up thinking it's not for you, then you just don't have to order any more!! Hope this helps!!

i have never had home delivery but have purchased their food. the taste and quality are very good. the prices are competetive to a little high.

I had used Schwans faithfully while I was working, but stopped when I became a stay at home mom and wanted to feed my family less prepared foods, but recently a new driver came to the area and brought me a catalog. I was impressed with the health items they have added to their catalog. We love the low calorie ice cream, frozen berry smoothie packs, and fresh vegetables. The pizzas are great too. I have my guy only come once a month. It works well for my family.

I use to buy from them all the time.. They have great food. But a little more expensive.. We always had friendly delivery people. I do not think they make much so you are always getting new people. that is the bad thing.. You can order on line, and they bring the order, so it saves them time and you time.. Plus then you kind of make sure you will get what you order.. Sometimes they have surveys on line and you get $1.00 or so off your orders..

Food is great, delivery is fine and you can place your order online. It is a little pricey on some items, but very good tasting choices.

It is nice to have if you like to buy in large quanity and once or twice a month. But they are kind of expensive I thought.. Give it a try you might like it I didn't.

My family and I used to order from them a lot. I would have to say that the convenience of it is wonderful, and you can fill up your whole freezer for under a $100. However, while the food is not that fattening, many items they have are very high in calories and sodium. You can find many things that are very healthy, you just have to be careful about what you order. I don't think I ever had anything I didn't like though, so I wouldn't discourage anyone from using their services. Enjoy!

We used to order from Schwans all the time, but it's just too expensive for us to do right now. We love almost all of their food and the convenience. I loved being able to go online, place/pay for my order and then have it delivered to my house.

I have an order being delivered next week. I love the convenience. We mostly order unprepared things, so I cannot help with the ready made but what I have tried I like. They are a bit on the pricey side, but it comes with delivery.

I have used Schwans on an off for years. I am into trying new foods so I tend to order one new thing a visit, depending on finances. But I also have my favorites. They are a little pricey but if you break it down the difference you pay in the price which is not that much, you would have paid that much for gas to go to the store yourself.
My kids lov the large breakfast pizzas and I like the throw in the pan cook up in 10 min. meals. And of course the ice cream, what a variety!

I have found it to be an excellent value and service.
I also stop to buy when the truck 'parks' and has a sale
in our area! The self rising crust pizzas are the best!

I have had their products before and everything is pretty good. The only thing I did not like was they keep comming every week. I did end of setting up a once a month visit, but I didn't always need something so I think the guy got upset and quit comming. We now have places in town where they just park and you can go to them. I haven't tried it yet because I am afriad they will suck me back in. It is great for holiday time though because they have a lot of items good for party snacks. I am sure you will like it. I think the prices are okay too.

Love the ice cream! The food is good, too. However, depending what you are buying I think it is a little pricey. I have a single friend who buys from them all the time-portion sizes and such ar great for her.

My MIL used to get quite a bit - not sure if she still does now that the kids are all moved out. What I have had was good - ice cream is very good!! =), but personally I think they are pricy. Of course, you are paying not only for the convenience of the food, but of it being delivered as well.

I use Schwan's service every other week. I just called the 800# & they set me up for an approximate time & then the same service guy came every two weeks. Their products are a little more expensive than the grocery store so you have to be careful what you buy, but they do frequently offer specials. We tend to order the same items over & over. Pizzas, tortilini (sp?), & breaded chicken strips & they do have a blue raspberry juice my family loves. They do offer specials every month also!! The guys are great too if they come during their scheduled time & you don't need something that time - they just give you a little card w/ a sticker for your calendar as to when to plan on them the next time! Definitely try it. Our family loves Schwans. The prices are a little higher than what the grocery carries, however, the quality is a bit better too. The frozen pasta/corn/peas/carrots/pepper blend is a favorite of my family. The prepared meats are great to have on hand for quick dinner nights and the ice cream, of course, is fabulous.

I was very nervous about ordering at first because I don't like prepared foods.
But I must say, I like everything that I have ordered. It is very expensive but the chicken pot pies are okay, the stuff chicken is great and the pizza. The pizza is the best frozen pizza that I ever had. Ice cream is good as well

I love Schwans. It is expensive, but I only order certain things...I do not do all of my grocery shopping with them. Some items are pre-order only so go online and check out their selection. Everything is online and you can order online and your delivery guy will bring it on your scheduled day of deliver.

We recieved quite a few gift certificates for Schwans a couple of years ago, while the food was good, the portions were not huge and I thought the price was quite high for what we got.

You could probobly do as well getting some top of the line frozen dinners and filling your freezer in one shopping trip or something like that, my guess is it would still be cheaper than Schwans.

love it, love it, love it! I hate when I miss my Schwans man - the food is very good and many nights I joke with my hubby - another fine meal by Schwans. I work alot and this is such a great convenience for me. Plus if you order on line, you get a 5% discount on your order - makes the value even greater. My suggestion - try the Schwans home delivery. We have many favorites!

Yes I have ordered from Schwans before and the ice cream is EXCELLENT, there food is good too. This crust pizza is one of the best and my kids love it.
The convience of having good food delivered to your door is awesome, if you don't like it they will take it back.
Now you can't do that with a grocery store.
