It happens to me when i sleep.....wth is going on here? Im almost 6 months pregnant and i remember it happening with my first daughter too. Sometimes it feels like it tries to spread to my face.....my eyelids and lips feel tingly. My scalp and neck and ears DEFINITELY lose feeling.

What can I do next?

The only time that ever happened to me I went straight to the ER... Mine was a migraine without the migraine headache. Weird, huh?! I would call your OB ASAP. You don't want to let that go on too long without finding the root of the problem. Take care.

Could it have something to do with your breathing? The webmd article on hyperventilation mentions numbness around the mouth(but not scalp) and also says it is common during pregnancy.

have you been check for High Blood Pressure... this is def something you need to see your doctor for, its a sign of possible pre-eclampsia. Also some women can get Bells Palsy while pregnant. Which is what they think is a pinched nerve in the face. Does one side feel slack or look droopy? Sometimes Bells is temporary, sometimes permanent. My SIL in India got it before pregnancy and it never went away. Though it doesnt bother her at all it just looks strange.

For me similar symptoms meant a vitamin B-12 deficiency, which can be quite serious. Having so many different possibilities mentioned here definately means you need to see your doctor right away and see what it means for you.
