I trimmed my daughter's hair recently, about 2 inches, and saved a few of the clippings hoping to put them in her baby book. Any suggestions on how to keep it without the hairs separating? I have a little 1/4 wide chunk of a curl. Thanks!

Craft stores have little acid-free envelops for scrapbooking momentos.

I used the bag that an extra button comes in when you buy a new outfit. My mother used scotch tape for mine & my bothers.

I took a piece of lace and sewed with a sewing machine the hair onto the lace. May have to go back and forth a few times. My mom did this to mine and I still have it and am in my 60's.

for both my daughters, i tied the chunk of hair tightly with a ribbon BEFORE i cut it, but with some help you can get one on there. i had a self-sealing book (the plastic closes on the picture/momento) so there wasnt any danger of any hair slipping out afterwards... but other girlfriends of mine have done the ribbon thing, but applied a tiny bit of glue to the hair before tying the ribbon on, so no hairs slip out. good luck :)

Use a hot glue gun. I am a colorist and make my own swatches for testing different colors. The hot glue works great and lasts through chemical processing and shampooing so it will surely last in your baby book! Good luck!

You can put a tight little rubber band around it and then tie a pretty pink ribbon around that. (This is what I did 20 years ago for my boys (with blue ribbon) and it's still in their baby books!)
