Hi mamas,
Anyone know of a nice place on the beach to stay either Santa Rosa Beach or NavarreBeach in Florida? It's our first time at this area. We usually go to Sanibel Island. Trying something new. Thanks in advance!

Hi D.,

I'm actually in SRB right now! Our favorite place to go....

It depends on what your looking for. We usually camp at Grayton Beach state park but they also have 2 bedroom duplex cabins for $110.00 a night. That's cheap for this area. Full kitchen and beach access as well as entrance to all the state park activities. If you are looking for something specific, Julie is right about VRBO.com. With the economy the way it is right now, you can probably dicker and get the price down of something you're interested in. Seaside is a favorite haunt of ours with the community activities and the high end shops and restaurants. Watercolor is the next community over that has beautiful homes and a gorgeous pool on the beach.

We took the easy and quick way this trip and used priceline.com and bid for a 3 star hotel in the Destin area and are staying at the Residence Inn Marriott at Grand Boulevard/Sandestin. There's only one or two hotels on the entire SRB beach so a home or condo is your best bet unless you want to venture toward Destin.

En joy your vacation!

M.

Panama City Beach is the best place as the resorts are nicer and the area now has Pier Park Mall, which is a disney themed type outdoor mall. Your options are endless as you can enjoy the beauty of the emerald/green waters, white sandy beaches, or if your family gets bored there are a lot of recreational things to do all around the town, Gulf World, Zoo World, Ripleys, museums, restaurants, bungi jumping, golf, bumper cars/racing cars/dirt tracks, pirate ship cruises/banana boats/sailboats/deep sea fishing/snorkeling...........
We rented a beachfront condo from www.funbeachcondos.com
Best vacation time ever!!!!

We've been to the Adagio in Blue Mountain Beach and it is wonderful! It's in a more secluded area on the Gulf side between Destin (for beach shopping and activities) and Seaside (for more upscale shopping and restaurants). It's about 5 miles south of Santa Rosa proper and I should warn you that there are a bunch of steps down to the beach. As someone else said, Grayton Beach is pretty neat too. If you're looking for a funky bar with live music go to The Red Bar there. :)

Here's a link to the Adagio, it's very nice: http://www.adagiocondos.com/.
